  • I'm going to cook Jamie Oliver's Mexican fish tacos, can be found on Jamie's Friday Night In webpage. Looked lovely on the TV show, and I'll substitute the sour cream with Greek yogurt.
  • Well your fun weekend of eating and drinking and not gaining weigh in the end, just shows how good these short fasts are! I do agree with what you say about the scales. One day I had gained 3 lbs, but I knew I had been within calories for several days before. I didn't let it bother me and lo and behold, they disappeared…
  • I went off the rails a bit a the weekend too. Don't beat yourself up about it and just get back on it - that's what I'm doing :-)
  • Hi, I've ben quiet for a few days. I drank on my night out at the weekend (about 3/4 a bottle of wine), then I came home and binged. However I was at a house party the next day and ate very lightly. Was contemplating doing the one day meal thing to recover either yesterday or today but I'm feeling a little under the…
  • I've also been wondering if I should eat once per day when I have a big eating event. I have a meal out tonight, but I'm on a training course where food gets delivered. People would find it of of I didn't eat. They have soup though, I'll go for that.
  • Pretty much the same as you. Also the health benefits and weigh loss. I'm being vain for a change. Lack of vanity and a love of food got me to this size!
  • Busy mornings help me! I'm a childminder, meaning I have children arrive half an hour after I wake. I allow myself a tea with a splash of milk. Then, after the school run between 9am and 10am (ish) I walk for 3 miles so that gets the time in. I'll usually have another tea (very British of me) I then have housework to do…
  • I'd never heard of DDP Yoga before, but just watched it on youtube - it looks fun :-) I'm doing 118:6 most days (some 16:8) and I walk for 3 miles every morning. I'm a bit afraid of doing anything that gets my heart going too fast, but I haven't read anything about the pros and cons to be honest. Think others in the group…
  • Hi everyone, please feel free to friend me as I'd be interested to share diary and typical routines with people following a similar eating pattern. Just like leighn62 says, I'm also enjoying the freedom to have a good 600 cal lunch and dinner and when I feel hungry I don't have to snack because I know a nice satisfying…
  • Hi, I've been reading up on this too and have seen some stuff on tv about its benefits. For the last two weeks I'm eating a large lunch at 1pm and dinner between 6pm-7pm (depending on work). Trying to eat no snacks between those meals. So that's 18:6 I'm doing. Walking at least 5 days a week for an hour in the morning.…
  • Hi everyone! No weight loss for me this week but I'm optomistic for next week, as my husband is away.
  • Hi! Stats for this week: s/w on 02/11: 185.5 09/11: 184 Lost 1.5 lbs this week. Not too bad considering I had a weekend away.
  • Hi everyone, I'm new to the group but not MFP. Lost a good amount of weight last year but have put on more than half and fluctuated ever since. I've been dealing with quite a bit of stress and been emotionally eating and drinking.I need to put a stop to it NOW! No more excuses. I run 4 - 5 times a week, usually covering…
  • Amazing! You look fab, so happy for you!
  • Hi. My starting weight is 167.5 lbs. That number will come down during this challenge!
  • Wow you look great, well done!!
  • Amazing, and you have overcome so many obstacles. You had a beautiful face before but now you look fantastic!
  • YOu can see the difference, congratualtions. I also started 4 months ago and hopefully when i weigh in tomorrow i will have lost 30lbs as well! We are MFP twins:)
  • Pilates is nice and gentle. I have the Pilates Weight loss for Dummies DVD and it's good. Was really cheap on Amazon.
  • I'm in for this September challenge too. Here are my current stats: Start weight: 176 lbs Waist 37.75 Hips 41.0 Bra size 36.0 Thigh Measurement 26.0 The above measurements are in inches. I was on Tazzys challenge last month. She really is a motivator! :) I plan to lose more than 5lbs hopefully. I am completely unsure of…
  • Hi, my start weight was 184.5 and I now weight 176. Thats an 8.5lbs loss for august. Yippee!
  • I'm down 2.8lbs this week! So happy because I lost nothing last week. I drank plenty of water and twice this week I ran for 5 miles instead of my usual 3 miles run. Lost 4lbs in first week of august, so am down 6.8 this month so far
  • I did an extra 15 miles this week thanks to this challenge:)
  • Hi I'm a bit concerned if we are able to cycle. On page 6 it says each team to coordinate 100 walk jog run but no mention of cycling. I really hope we can because I know some of you have done a lot of cycling. I've completed 5 miles cycling myself that I haven't put in my totals. What do you think miss broccoli?
  • I just made the following tonight. Made it up as I went along and it was yummy and very fillling. Canellini beans are an excellent Low GI alternative to many carbs you would usually stuff peppers with:) MEXICAN CANELLINI STUFFED PEPPERS (SERVES 2) 230 cals per serving. For snack/side or starter 2 peppers 1 cup canellini…
  • Kale and banana smoothie. 1 banana, bunch of kale, bit of fat free yogury blitz and it's ready.might need to play around with amounts to taste. Sounds horrible but it's yummy. I grew kale last year and had to get rid of it in different dishes.
  • Hi just checking in with my weight loss. I was 184.5 on the 1st august and today I weighed 180.5, so a 4lbs loss this week, yipee! I've walked a lot this last week and did a mini triathalon last monday, an exercise class another night and some toning/strengthening work every day. Most exercise was walking though. I was…
  • Great work, you look fab!
  • Hmm not sure about the yogurt... but I mix 2 teaspoons of cocoa with one teaspoon of icing sugar and 1 tablespoon of light cream cheese/or low fat marg for a chocolate fix. Lovely on cookies/oat cakes etc. Could maybe mix it in with the yogurt once made - never tried that before. If you've no icing sugar either just use 2…
