If you have elevated insulin levels IF can be one of the only ways to get insulin low enough to burn fat. If no insulin issues there would be no noticeable difference

Increase proteins and veggies. Cut out sugar and sweets. Proteins and veggies give you more bang for your buck and keep you full longer. Get a lot more food for the calories with veggies.

Depends on your needs. After repeatedly eating the correct portions of you are in maintenance you will know what fits in your daily allowances. But for others tracking is a requirement. Do what works for you
