It's very helpful. A trainer will give you the best advice concerning attempting weight lifting :)

This is the best advice so far, besides seeing your doctor about BP medication. Whenever we encounter clients with high blood pressure, we MUST avoid any activity that will raise his or her BP too high. This does not mean you are completely restricted from exercise. But, for example, I can't have you doing squats because…

I've never heard of warming up for walking but you can always do some dynamic flexibility.

I do two-a-days, resistance training in the morning, and cardio or rock climbing on back and bicep days (separate days) at night

Technically it's not suppose to get "harder", that's what my CPT instructor told me in class. But it's very easy to plateau if you're not adjusting for the new body weight. So he says... But i suppose it can be more difficult depending on what your goals are. Like if you're shooting for extremely low body fat, then you…

why are you eating 1200? something tells me that 1200 was not recommended by MFP Edit: ah nvm, it's really early and my brain is slowly waking up ><

The "fat burning zone" is a myth. Any activity is better than no activity, provided that it is done in a safe and proper manner. Walking doesn't burn that many calories unless the duration is increased. If you can tolerate it, you can try increasing the intensity and reducing the amount of time spent doing cardio. Example…

1200 is way too low for you, its almost way too low for anyone

why have you been eating 1200?

can you tell us more about the product? brand, style, functionality, etc and are you going to use it to monitor aerobic exercise? anything else and it's not reliable

My mom grows her on avocados in her backyard and consequently makes her own spicy guac. I like to steal it and use it for my chicken burgers. It is so worth mama comin' after me with her wooden spoon.

DOMS is created by the eccentric phase of a muscle contraction; in layman terms, lengthening (or stretching) of the muscle. If you're experiencing this kind of soreness then avoid exercising that muscle until it recovers. Not allowing your muscles to recover properly could lead to permanent damage. Typically a decent rest…

I bet you work for Burger King or McDonald's...

Shouldn't this have been posted in the chit-chat section?

i can explain more but its so late for me that i can't really focus on the rest of the explanation. maybe tomorrow.

that is correct. but your body burns about the same amount of calories. if your diet is 2000 calories, its actually 2,000,000. hence the reason for the conversion. that many zeroes will confuse people left and right.

in other words, 1000 calories is 1 kilocalorie much like 1000 meters is 1 kilometer something to do with the metric system...

Hey, I am confident that you're experiencing some fantastic results, but it's extremely hard to make a comparison with those pictures. JUST SAYIN...

Just to clarify, you should always lift then cardio because of the order of energy systems used.

Don't give brisk walks a bad rep. Anything is better than nothing. Being more physically active is healthier than not being more physically active. You may reach your goal in a longer amount of time, but you are at least working towards it.

Granola bars, any kind that are like not loaded with crap. Sorry didn't really answer your question since you're asking for fast food ideas but I thought maybe it was legit to say.

Interesting question... If I was to tackle it on my own I guess I would actually focus on strengthening the appendages that are involved in hyperextension so as to "tighten" up the situation O_O Edit: I mean, after warming up the muscles with some dynamic stretches of course.

Negative sets are AWESOME /thumbsup Edit: If you're a member at a gym with this kind of machine, assisted pull-up machines help reduce the resistance created by your body weight. You can try that as well to help strengthen the surrounding musculature and practice a proper pull up form. If you're swinging around when doing…
