Natural peanut butter for sure! Can't go a day without it! Followed by egg whites, protein powder, and my new fav, oatmeal! :)

I've been putting it in my quick oats for breakfast, just use more water if you do. It's really filling and tastes awesome. You may want a little sweetener in there, or honey. Also good is in smoothies with a banana. I love the chocolate PB2.

When I was in Weight Watchers after having my babies, they suggested putting Carnation Light Hot Chocolate powder in my coffee instead. It's 45 calories for 3 Tablespoons and makes the coffee taste like a mocha coffee. It's a nice treat and a instant pick me up. :)

I am looking foward trying this!! Thanks!

Oh Rybo, I should add, that I ran the same pace of 5:27 per km at my half and 30K races but my marathon pace was 5:40 per km. My goal was under 4 hours and I held that pace the whole way and didn't run my shorter race pace. It was my first full marathon though. I will kick it up a knotch for the next one and see if I can…

I had races mixed into my marathon training too. I ran a 30K, 10 mile and a 26K in the last couple months of my training. This was the plan that I followed and it worked for me going back a few weeks so you can see: 12 miles ( I ran a 30K / 18.5 mile) race here instead) 18 miles ( I ran a 10 mile race here instead) I hurt…

Thank you!!! I'll check it out!

I love this display! Where did you get it? My dresser mirror is going to fall over soon if I hang another on it....LOL I keep all my bibs. The name, date and time are written on the back of them and they are in a binder inserted into plastic covers. I thought it would be nice to remember them all. The medals don't always…

Amazing job! You must feel awesome! Good for you for taking control of your life and proving that when you put your mind to something you can accomplish it. :) Well done!!

Yes, for Kenpo X that sounds right. I'm usually around 450 with that one.

These all sound amazing! I'm going to have to try some. Thanks!!

I'm a runner and I burn around 1000 calories for running 10 miles, which takes me about 96 minutes. You can't compare the two at all, and no matter how hard I try my body will not burn that during 90 minutes of yoga, even P90X yoga. There is definitely something wrong with your HRM. I hit just over 300 usually and I'm on…

I'm with Christa. I'm 5'11" and I'm tall for a runner and not necessarily any better at it then those shorter runners. I tend not to use my full stride because it can irritate my knees after awhile. You can be a runner at any size, shape or age. You get what you put into it. The more I work at it, the faster I get. I've…

Thanks! I'll check it out. For now, I'm stocked for a bit. :)

I just found a place in Toronto that sells it online. I ordered it a couple days ago and received it today already. I stocked up so I wouldn't have to pay shipping again for awhile. The site is Low Carb Canada http://www.lowcarbcanada.ca/search?searchinclude=&searchwords=pb2&searchsmall_4920=Search

I plan on 1000 this year. I probably ran close to that this past year but didn't keep track. This year I am. My other goal is a 50 mile trail race in September.
-
Hi! Great topic! :) My goals are to finish P90X. I just started Phase 3 today. To run 1000 miles, or 1609 km's if you are Canadian like me, in 2012, and to run my first ultra race this September, a 50 mile trail run. Somewhere in there I would like to lose the last 10 pounds too. That would be a bonus!!
-
For races you will never sleep well the night before. It's actually the sleep you get 2 nights before that is crucial for racing so aim for it that night and don't worry about the night before if you can't get a good rest due to nerves or something else.
-
I have found that food choices and lack of water the day before are the main reason I have crappy runs. Sleep too depending on the distance, but mostly it's water and food for me. Keep track of what you ate the day before a bad run and a good run. See if you can see what works and what doesn't.

Awesome! Good for you! You look fantastic!

I live in Ontario Canada and we get some brutal winter weather come January and February, sometimes March too. I ran on a treadmill one winter and was in the same place you were come spring. It was so hard to get back outside. I felt like I had lost all my endurance and was starting over. I now run outside all winter. The…
