I'm that kinda gross guy sweating everywhere I go (and I wipe down everything as I go along). My wife works out with me and rarely breaks much of a sweat but she's certainly bustin' her *kitten*. Within 10 minutes on any piece of cardio I'm sweating like my name's Patrick Ewing. As many stated, just because one sweats a…

Incredible work dude! That is a LOT of hard work right there. You've truly made a commitment to live a healthier lifestyle. Once you're in it for long, long term you don't have to focus on the scale as much -- the results eventually come. AMAZING JOB!
-
I log religiously and work out frequently. I'm here to support all my MFP'ers in achieving our shared goals! Feel free to add me :)
-
Fantastic results! You should be very proud of yourself. And thanks for sharing. You even have the "young guy" clothing on in the left pic versus the casual Friday working in a cube look on the right :)

I didn't look at the diary but I have to agree with most comments here. It's only two weeks! If you've been exercising you could be building muscle during this time as well so that may be what you're seeing as a result. But this is a lifestyle change. And once you know you're committed to it, not just now, but for the…

Yeah, pretty much repeating what everyone else has said. I have a really supportive, active group of MFP'ers. I did have a friend that was consuming about 6500 calories a day and claiming she was burning 5900 per day (16 hours of exercise by the way) and I removed her. Stuff like that is just ridiculous to me. Unless she's…

Awesome! You looked great before but now you look amazing! A lot of hard work right there.

I concur with the WOWZA! Smokin'!

41 checking in! I'm as supportive as they come so please feel free to add!

Hi! I'll send friend requests :). My diary is open as well. I'm going to lose the weight but I refuse to do so in a way that I feel is unhealthy. But you'll see a lot of workouts logged. This I can assure you :). And I'm as supportive as they come.

Incredible results and I love your attitude! You look like you lost weight the right way and you've been able to maintain this weight for quite a while. And even better you have such a positive vibe about you!

6' 3ish and 239lbs (with about 30lbs to lose -- at 209 I'd be ripped!) checking in! I sent a friend request but I'm also a bit confused and concerned by your goal -- are you 100 mile cyclist or something? That's the kind of weight that a professional cyclist comes in at. But besides all that, I'm always keen on staying…

Hear Hear! Emphasis on small goals. Small goals like college interest rates seem to compound over time :).

This. I think it's a win to at least have a fairly accurate number. Most of us weren't doing this before so I consider that progress. I've seen people get really obsessive about logging food in a bad way. Don't beat yourself up. As long as you're fairly accurate it's all good IMO.

That's an incredible weight loss over such a short period of time. WTG! I love reading personal stories like this and I'm glad you've renewed your self-confidence.

Not quite back on MFP 3 months yet but I've noticed my energy level is a lot higher. Pretty similar to the rest of the comments really. The weight isn't exactly coming off rapidly but I'm putting in the work and tracking what I eat so I realize that it's an "all in due time" kind of thing. I can make it through an entire…

You look fantastic! Kudos on getting fantastic results. Your hard work and dedication has definitely paid off. Love your attitude!

This is great advice! Just don't get too discouraged. Take comfort in the fact that you're tracking what you eat and being more active. The body is so amazing at putting up a resistance to change -- it may take a while but as this new fitness regime becomes a longer and longer term thing the weight losses will come. I'd…

Man, you've been through the ringer! But way to fight through it and thanks for sharing what you've been through. It's a huge help to I'm sure a lot of us that may be going through anything even remotely similar. You look great and even better you sound like you're "in a good space" as they say. It's amazing how if you…

Sending a friend request too. You're "journey" sounds very similar mine! I was kicking butt using MFP last year and I fell off when a sister from the UK came to visit. I take full responsibility of course! But I'm more determined than ever to lose the 35lbs or so that I have to lose and to stick with it! All positive…

Feel free to add me! We have a similar weight loss goal. I'm always looking to encourage and be encouraged! Having a group to be accountable to will help with the motivation and to achieve shared weight loss goals!

Yep! I was one of those who took one look at the graph and immediately thought, "OH NO!". So, I'm relieved that you added what I quoted above as well. I LOVE DATA. I probably have too much of it. I really like a visual representation of my progress. Yes, ultimately it's about how I feel, how my clothes are fitting, and…

Hi Matt! I'm on the west side of Florida in the Sarasota area. Please feel free to add me! I want to lose about 30lbs as well so let's get 'er done! I log everything I eat -- the good and the bad so feel free to peruse my diary. I like that positive attitude! There will be bad days but that's where the social aspect will…

For me road cycling has been an amazing way to increase my aerobic activity. I love getting on my bike and taking in the scenery. I go very early in the morning and anyone I see out there is generally running or cycling. We all wave to one another so that's great too. I use Endomondo to track all my exercise combined with…

Wow. What an amazing lifestyle change! Fit is HOT! WTG!
-
YIKES! Now that's dedication!

That seems really high to me as well. My max is 181 which I get a little nervous when I see as well. I would definitely seek out an expert opinion ASAP.
-
AMAZING! 24lbs in one month!!! Great work! Losing weight becomes addictive in a good way right?!
-
WOWZERS! You are FIT! There's nothing to progress to! Ha, ha! FANTASTIC WORK! Kudos!
-
AND you're smiling in every photo! AWESOME work! KUDOS! My before looks like a mug shot! :) Still working on getting to the "after" phase. Congratulations on all your hard work. It's a lifelong commitment.
