MFP has one feature that I really love. It is those helpful record grafts that show us the history of how we are doing. I am especially happy, when I see the weight chart in a descending line. The only plateau was in February, but I know why.
The nutrition chart let's me see how faithful I have been to my food plan. It is this chart that shows why February was a plateau. That was the period, when I upped my calories. Some friends told me that I needed to eat more calories; so, I push my daily number up by 200 calories and paid for it. Once I went back to 1,000, I started losing again.
Note: For those of you who are concerned about my 1,000 calorie daily food plan, I am being carefully monitored by doctors and a nutritionist. I am not in a 'starvation mode' as some folks may believe.
I am an old lady in a wheelchair; so, my activity level is very low. I do not require more calories to sustain my body. My labs are all good, and I am on several supplemental vitamins.
By the way, that abrupt dip in calories back on March 4th was on a day that I was traveling and could not get to my computer. I was guessing my calories and playing it safe...a bit too safe. I only ate about 750 calories that day.

I'm glad you posted this bit because I'm sure you would have set off a bunch of frantic people!
Good for you. My BF's dad has 4 fused discs in his back and has done a similar diet. It worked for him for a while but his new meds eat through his stomach so he has to eat more to help absorb the acid.
I'm sure its hard to limit yourself to 1000, so congratulations on the will power!
Also you don't look old in your pic.0 -

I am 68 years old, Sis. My meds don't give me problems. They are mostly supplemental vitamins.
As for my 1,000 calorie limit, I am doing fine with 3 meals per day and even calories left over for snacks in the afternoon and evening. I am NOT starving. Some days, I may get tempted to eat a little more. That's, when I make myself a nice, hot cup of tea. I also drink lots of fluids...about a gallon of water per day...mostly as tea.0 -

Yep! I was one of those who took one look at the graph and immediately thought, "OH NO!". So, I'm relieved that you added what I quoted above as well.
I LOVE DATA. I probably have too much of it. I really like a visual representation of my progress. Yes, ultimately it's about how I feel, how my clothes are fitting, and what I'm seeing in the mirror, but for me, being able to view the data daily and seeing snapshots over various time segments is of tremendous value.
Congratulations! Clearly you've been very dedicated.0 -
Great to see this data. You are awesome.0
