Yes it's difficult to see that scale continue to climb and it's difficult to stay off the the scale too, but try too. So you are on week 17, are you doing a reset? Or how long did you reset for? Or Are you now eating at cut? Losing weight will only occur at a deficit. Of course we don't want the deficit to be to large, so…

Hi! So glad you have joined the family! A reset is suggested IF you have been on Very low calorie diets over the years. You stated you have not really dieted, but just cut out junk, what did you eat in place of the junk?? Upping your calories with healthy foods can be easier than you think, by eating almonds, an handful of…

To simply answer your question, I would say YES! Start with the 3000 on days you run. Try that about 4 weeks. Keep us up dated! Always do the activities you love!! The main part is fueling your body for WHATEVER activity you do!
-
Wow! Nice squat #! And bench press!! It's awesome to have another person to workout with and to spot you!! Can't wait to see pics!

Hi, I had a similar problem! Making changes in WHAT I was eating made the difference. I had to decrease coffee to one cup a day. Yes the caffeine is an eye opener but it brings a crash later. Also I increased my Vitamin E and Magnesium by eating more foods with protein, like almonds, eggs, greek yogurt etc. I eat more fish…

I suggest moderate activity. If you eat the 1721 your net will probably be around 1450-1500, after your calorie burn from lifting. I would also suggest a 15% cut to start since you have about 20 more lbs you want to lose. So eating 1400 calories is too low.
-
Totally agree!
-
My condolences and prayers for you and your family.
-
Wow! Losing body fat is awesome! So bravo to you! I am curious to know if your clothes fit same, loose or tight?. And if after you lost the 7 pounds, the first time, did you work your numbers? Or kept eating the same amount?
-
Hi! So you've checked three websites and they agree 2280 is your TDEE, one says 2080. I would start high and work my way down. Every three- four weeks drop 50 calories if you are still gaining. Be honest with what you are eating. Weigh everything on a scale. That's the only way to really make sure you are hitting your…

Oh Yes! good choice! Nia Shanks has awesome programs! Cant wait to see your progress.
-
I would say moderate activity level. Great job starting some weight training. Continue to up your weights for better results!
-
Thanks for the update! Looking forward to your cut. I hope you continue to keep us up dated. What program are you doing?
-
Based on the scooby doo calculator activity levels, I would say strenuous, if you working out at least 1 hour each day. Now if you have a sit down job or are not on your feet a lot and not moving around the rest of the day you could used the moderate. Start at 10% cut. And yes eat that amount daily.
-
But if you start at the higher point of your cut now, if and when you hit a plateau, you can cut a little more if needed. If you start low already, and go lower , your right back where you started.
-
Welcome to the group! Eat more to weigh less is basically eating at a smaller deficit to lose weight rather than starving yourself! I would still recommend you eat 1870 That's a 15% cut. Eating less than that is creating a very large deficits, and hard o maintain. You may lose weight quickly, but the weight will also come…
