Amen. :drinker:

You said exactly what I wanted to say. I also might add I learned the hard way about not eating enough fat thinking that was the healthy way to go when I had my cholesterol tested. My LDL was perfect, but my HDL was abysmal (the good kind). My doctor gave me a nice lecture about eating more fat. Needless to say he didn't…

I log one minute and one calorie. This is just for me to keep record that I worked out that day. I only do the lifting routines and on those days eat more than the MFP method says I should (my TDEE-20). A little confusing I know, but it works for me.

Nice! My calves were also the first thing that was noticed on me. My pedicurist was doing the leg massage portion of the pedicure and said "whoa! your calves are muscular!" I was beaming the rest of the day. All that running and leg work is paying off.

A bag of wavy Lay's and a tub of Helava Good french onion dip. All in one sitting. :drinker: Haven’t' decided when it'll be yet, but it will be soon.

This. I have a dachshund that loves to run, but he too also wants to hunt and track the second he gets outside. They just can't help it. Instinct takes over. Lucky for me I can control a 20 lb dog with a harness (but don't let his size fool you. That dog can pull!) and he's started to learn to keep in line with me the more…

I too work in an office and here’s an example of what I bring to work. Only because it’s cheaper and requires little to no cooking. Breakfast – 4 egg whites (only thing that needs cooked and I throw it on the stove top while I’m getting ready. They’re ready to flip after 5-10 mins, I cook on super low, and I eat a few…

If you're doing the MFP method (which it sounds like you are) make sure you eat back your calories! You should net 1200 at a minimum.

I should say, my profile pic is of my mom and I at my first 5K!

That's awesome and I 100% agree. Running is emotionally draining. Every time I go running 3 minutes in I start thinking WTH am I doing?! This hurts, I'm already tired, how can I possible go on for another 17 minutes (I did W5D3 last week)?! And some how a few minutes later things start feeling good, you're really booking…

I work a high stress desk job and always made excuses about how tired I am when I get home just to be lazy and watch TV rather than work out. What I do is just get home and change immediately before I have any time to think about wanting to sit on the couch and make my butt get out the door and running. I’ve NEVER…

I use both my HRM and Nike+ with GPS. I start C25K and put it in the background and pull up my Nike+ which shows me my pace at any point in time as my main app that I follow and gives me my time, calories burned, and average pace at the end of the run. C25K will give me the cues of when to start and stop my exercise over…

I did the C25K back at the beginning of the year and signed myself up for a couple of 5K’s to really get me motivated to do the program. I never did complete it, but make it through week 6. It’s hard. Really, really hard. You’re training your body to do something you’re not used to. I ran the 5Ks and finished in under 33…

I love maintenance success stories. You look AMAZING!

I am a daily weigher, but I like to see the fluctuations in the scale. I feel like I better understand how working out and eating affects it day to day and throughout the day. Like overnight I gained 1.5 lbs. All water because I had a lot of sodium the day before. I know I lose a FULL POUND of water during 30 mins of…

Might I suggest protein powder (whey)? It's usually around 100 calories and 25 g of protein. Super easy. Just shake in a blender bottle with cold water and enjoy. It's also very filling.

That’s a tough one. On one hand Go Buckeyes (& Browns :grumble: )! On the other Go Jackets & Preds (lived there for years)! But I think I’m going to have to give football the edge. I love me some Buckeyes.

I don't smoke, but my husband has been a smoker for 10+ years and this past year shed 60 lbs. All long term smokers I know don't get the munchies any more.

Why not just mix in some flavorless fiber powder?

Graeter's Black Raspberry Chip. Hands down the BEST ice cream on earth. And it better be for the $15/ ½ gallon price tag….

I actually didn’t gain any weight (lost a little bit) my freshmen and sophomore years and I did eat all of the crap, tons of fast food, and took up drinking cheap keg beer. What I noticed was that all of my weight gain started AFTER I moved off campus and into an apartment my junior year. I drove and parked close to my…

I’m the same exact way. What has helped me recently is to prelog my meals. It helps keep me accountable. Also, I find something to keep me busy. I work out in the evenings for this reason. If I’m running I can’t be eating. Also, I give myself one reward every night and leave space in my calories. Usually a glass of wine or…

I work a high pressure desk job 8:30 to 5:30 getting home usually around 6. I work out 6 days a week and right when I get home otherwise I wouldn’t do it. I CANNOT get up early. I struggle to get out of bed at 7, let alone getting up at 5 or 5:30 for a work out. It’s never going to happen. On cardio days I drink a coffee…

That's amazing. Thanks for the inspiration. I'm currently at the point where you were in pic 2. I look skinny, but my BF% is so high (26%). What did you do to get to that point?
-
This happens to me without fail every time when I do Pure Barre and only Pure Barre. Listen to your body. Take a break. Drink some water. Try eating more before you go. Since it’s not cardio intensive it shouldn’t bother you having more in your stomach and bring a drink with electrolytes. If you do these things and it…

That's a really good explanation of the TDEE method. I biked 10 miles yesterday at a 14 mph pace, which is outside of my norm. I was STARVING even after eating my TDEE-%. So I ate a bit more. Up to my BMR as I believe I should never be netting below that.
-
This. Though on the days I lift I do eat a bit more, but still remain under my TDEE. Though I'm only try to lose a 1/2 lb or less/ week.
-
I really like that idea.
-
Its called water. Happens to me all the time, especially if I have a long hard workout the evening before. Give it a couple days and your body will shed it.

Chop off your arm.
