My favourite is to add 1/4 cup of source pineapple-coconut-banana yogurt, and I freeze a can of crushed pineapple into an ice cube tray, and add 2-3 ice cubes, or 1/4 cup straight from the can, and about a tablespoon of coconut torani sugar free syrup, 2 scoops of visalus, and 1 cup milk/ almond milk/ water, and blend in a…

It can definitely get discouraging some days! This time around ( the last 3 weeks) I started at 312, and am down to just under 300, but it's the lowest I've been since 2007... That's when I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, 3 days after my 30th birthday... I weighed 338! I cried, and felt so hopeless and disgusting, but…

The creamy mushroom toast sounds amazing!

I've also been prepping veggies when I come home from the grocery store so they're easy to grab when feeling snacky.. And making barley and lentil soup on Sunday, for light healthy weekday lunches. I've also been making overnight oats (1/3 c each milk, plain yogurt (Greek, but you could use any) and oats) stir and leave in…

I am diabetic, so I use artificial sweeteners... I mostly use Splenda; if I'm baking I sometimes use half Splenda and half sugar, since I haven't seen the Splenda baking blend in Canada... I also use Splenda for making ice cream. I once made it with Sugar Twin, and it was so bad I threw it away! I want to try xylitol, and…

Nestea Peach & Raspberry Ice Tea popsicles... 40 calories, i think 9 carbs (not looking at the box right now) They have no artificial sweetener and are a decent size!

I'm in too! I find I don't really crave or like fast food anymore, but sometimes it's too easy to be lazy...

The only thing I've ever used masa for is making tortillas - there's probably a recipe for them on the package, we used to sprinkle them with Spike seasoning...they are sooo good! Way easier if you have a tortilla press, but not really worth it if you're not going to make them a lot.

This recipe sounds really good!! I'm going to try it this weekend - thanks!

I usually sautee it with a little bit of olive oil or butter and garlic; this weekend I found a new recipe and made it for company -- it was really good! Thaw boneless skinless chicken breasts (as many as you need), and pound them flat between 2 sheets of wax paper. Spread each breast with a wedge of Laughing Cow cheese…
