I am working with a friend to focus on logging my food. I have been struggling with that for a long time. And I worry about being "perfect" then if I'm not, I just give up. So…
  • Welcome. I also grew up in the Saginaw area, but now live in Lansing. I'm glad you are doing well with mfp. I had a difficult year but am getting back on track.
  • There is a blood test that looks for food intolerances. I have a large number of foods that cause issues, including stomach bloating, diarrhea, headaches, congestion, dizziness, brain fog. I had tried to do the elimination diet but was unable to identify my trigger foods that way. The blood test finally gave me a complete…

  • I know you can do it. I started at 257 four years ago. I am currently at 169. It has not been an easy task. Sometimes I am on it, doing everything right, getting exercise and eating healthy food. However there are many times I struggle, have a great morning and then start eating in the pm and blow all my hard work. But the…

  • My husband had a similar problem and was unable to find a helpful solution except time. His started after a half-marathon, so he rested a couple of weeks, then slowlly built up his runs again. He would walk as a warm up, run, if it started to hurt go back to walking, run, walk based on the discomfort, then stretch after. I…

  • I am working at HONESTLY tracking all my food., eliminating the junk, and focusing on the positive
  • Ok... I will count the pure sugar foods ( cakes, cookies, candies etc...) and any added sugar to my diet. Sweets are my downfall...so I will definitely work at eliminating the sugar this week. Sometimes it really does feel like an addiction.
  • Ok this I can do.... Edit.... Question... I understand the counting servings of carbs... How do we count the sugar? Grams or servings? And only counting the foods made with white sugar like cookie and candy, or are we also counting sudo health foods like "health" bars?
