i picked up Under the dome a couple weeks ago from the library but I got so intimidated with how big the book is, so I decided to return it without reading a single line, lol.

I'm reading the 'house of night' series. :)

its all about moderation.... you don't have to completely cut out the foods that you love, just treat yourself once in a while, its like rewarding yourself for eating so well most of the time. If you completely deny yourself of them, you will find yourself in more days like this one. Stay in control and moderate yourself.

Thanks guys :)

Thanks for the suggestion! My BMR is 1403 and TDEE is 2175.... that's a pretty large gap between 1403 and 2175... and I m supposed to keep my calorie amount in between those numbers?

yeah.. some days i only end up with netting between 800-1000 calories :( I know that's bad and I try to not do that. i have UP Wristband (from Apple) and it said I burned 305 calories while MFP says I only burned 180 calories, so it doesn't seem like they're overestimating, at least not on my part. (for 45 minutes of…

Here are some more info... I'm 5 feet tall and 142 lbs.. I'm trying to lose about 25 lbs. if you think 1200 is too low, that is what MFP recommended to me. My boyfriend is also doing 1200. He is trying to lose around the same amount of pounds as I am. I'm not trying to compare to my boyfriend, I knew he'd lose more than me…

One tablespoon of regular mayonnaise has about 100 calories. Regular mayonnaise also has 11 grams of fat and and 80 milligrams of sodium in 1 tablespoon. In practical terms, this means 2 tablespoons of mayo on your turkey sandwich can double the fat and calorie content of your lunch.

5 feet tall here... would love to be around 120 lbs working my way down from 170 lbs. :)

I would suggest weekly, it gives you a more accurate idea of how much you've lost/what your current weight is.
-
Once a week for me.

I also suggest fruit smoothies for breakfast add in a bit of protein powder, fruits, and a bit of milk/water/juice.

1. FISH Is always low cal... There are a ton of delicious tilapia/halibut recipes out there that are low-cals. I just made Parmesan crusted tilapia last night for dinner and it all came out around 200 cals per filet. Not bad. I served couscous and roasted zucchini with it. 2. Broth-based soups are delicious and low cals. I…

Hey guys! i wanted to introduce myself, i'm new to the site and to power 90. i started power 90 last week, it's been almost 2 weeks, i just did my 9th day of workout today. when i first started, i got my *kitten* kicked. i couldn't believe how out of shape i was. i had always been athletic in high school and college. but…

imho, 1200 calories a day should be the absolute minimum anyone should intake. especially if you are working out this hard, you should be eating more. i would say 1500 calories a day. also, give it a few more weeks then weigh yourself. sometimes our body does funky things when we start something new.
-
congratulations to you!! keep up the great work :)
-
i agree with the posters, just say no. save it for a treat when you eat out or something. don't buy them for your home.

not sure where you're getting this from?

it's not THE diet sodas that are bad for you, its the ingredient in it "aspartame"-- it is an addictive. and it leads your body to crave sweeter things, thus you consuming more sweets = more weight gain. although, not all diet sodas have this ingredient. but most do. check your labels. i personally would just go w/out. i…
