  • I'm tweeking mine to be a Skinny Sunday since that's the day that I have the most problems with. For my Sinny Sunday I went on a five -mile hike with the family and my friend and his girls. It was great! I packed a healthy picnic lunch of an apple, cranberry chicken salad, some watermelon, green tea, a few chips and some…
  • How are you eating? Diet is a very large component to weight loss. You can diet and not exercise and lose weight, but you can exercise and eat badly and not lose anything. Either way, adding weights to your routine is great because muscle burns more fat. Take a look at your calorie intake and what you're eating and that…
  • Amazing. Such inspiration! You rock!
  • I put on about 2 pounds of water and bloating weight this time around. I drink tons of water and really try to be good but yesterday was a nightmare. When I don't eat right I can go up as high as 4 pounds. But usually after a few days I go back to normal.
  • Way to go! Great first week!
  • I'd love to give it a try. The family and I have begon hiking on the weekends instead of taking the kids to the movies or taking htem to the park where only they run around and hubby and I park ourselves on a bench. We love our hikes and have even convinced a friend with two girls of his own to join us. If I can lose even…
  • Take it one day at a time and realize it's a lifestyle change and not a quick fix. You will find a lot of support here.
  • And take pics then post them! Way to go! Congrats!!
  • Thanks so much for all of your advice and words of encouragment. It makes me feel better to know that I'm not the only one fighting my cravings. I don't have sisters and my friends at work are somewhat split. This helps me out a lot.
  • I need to have my coffee and since it's gotten hotter I have gotten this mocha which is 140 with skim milk and no whipped cream. I could knocked it down even more if I got an iced Americano. I may go that route next. I worked out hard this morning and after work so I did work some of the calories off but I can't help but…
  • Yeah, today was ALL fast food. Not good.
  • Today was a horrible day for food in general because of my work schedule, usually I am really good about my food intake especially breakfast and lunch. But yeah, today I was out at three different scenes beginning at 7 a.m. Tomorrow will be WAY better.
  • I have a 10, 5, and 2 year old and this last one coupled with an illness have left me at my heaviest weight. But I think I am on the right track finally after nearly two years of frustration. This is a great site where you will find tons of support. Friend me if you'd like!
  • OOps! 6283+4=2687
  • 6274+4=6278 YAY!!!
  • My hubby and never drink together (He's a recovering alcoholic) but we used to spend time eating. Now we do physical things together like hiking or taking walks. When we want some time to ourselves where we can just sit, we go to a coffee shop and sit out front and people watch. We still have to have out "date time" but…
  • I'm a reporter, it's a prerequisite before you take the job that you drink at least twice a month and at least three times a week during an election. ;0) On top of that there is the kids, the husband, the mother and father, and going through a short sale, yup, sometimes I have myself a swank dirty martini.
  • I lost most of my baby fat two months after my boy was born. My meds kept me fluffy as well as stress eating, but we have a similar goal. Good luck and let's keep on truckin'!
  • Thanks. Sometimes I think there aren't that many people who understand what it's like to gain weight because of meds. It's very frustrating. Thanks for your advice and I agree that if I make my health my top priority, everything else will fall into place. I just get a little impatient sometimes.
  • I'm an asthmatic, too and I now how hard it is to lose weight while on meds. Talk to your doctor and see what he can tell you. If he doesn't seem to listen talk to another doctor. I've talked to two so far and have few answers, but I know they're out there. Keep your head up and keep eating clean and keep on moving.
  • We let the kids have some junk as a reward, not as regular food they eat just because they're kids. When we go out they have juices or teas, no sodas and usually grilled chicken, sometimes hamburgers with the veggies and fruit instead of fries. If the kids have a good week at school or get an award we may let them have…
  • That is so wonderful! Congrats to you! You look amazing and I bet you feel spectacular! I hope to be half as successful as you!
  • Have you thought about changing up your routine? I don't know how long you have been doing your current regiment, but it could be your body had become accustomed to it. Throw in a different class, or some weight training. Also, what are you eating and how much? Diet plays a very big part into this as well. Try making a few…
  • I have at least 40 pounds to lose and they have been the hardest ever. What's worked for me is making small changes and really enjoying feeling good. I haven't lost a lot of weight in the last week, but I feel better and I haven't binged like I used to. That is a big accomplishment for me. I know if I keep on focusing on…
  • Sounds great. I'm leary about posting my before pics, but I will get over it. I will take some tomorrow morning and post! YOOHOO! I can't wait!!
  • I've had three kids and with the firs two I was able to get within about 15 pounds of my pre-pregnancy weight within about five months or so, which I was fine with, but this last one, wooo doggie! My youngest is two and I am the heaviest I have ever been even while pregnant. I weigh 180 pounds, 20 more than when I gave…
  • Sounds uber tasty! I will have to try it soon!
  • I'm not exactly in the field, but I cover what your guys and gals do. I'm a crime and public safety reporter and I can tell you that I put on about 30 lbs since starting this job, too. I agree your job is very stressful. I see it from a second-hand basis and it stresses me out sometimes. I will hit you up!
  • I really needed this today. I fell off the wagon so many times and this time it really feels different. I have the complete support of my hubby and most importantly I have found my own strength. You all look wonderful and I can't wait until I can post my own before and afters here!
