  • Thanks, I didn't know there was that listed as a cardio activity. I will start adding that. I don't quite understand the kg/bw thing...So if I'm around 95 lbs (I think that's like 45 kgs?), and I guess moderately active (brisk walk around 30 minutes a day), how much protein does that mean I should get a day? What happens…
  • Is it really that fast to make? What temperature are you broiling it at?
  • Whatever I can fit into normal life. M-F I take the bus to school, but walk home as fast as I can (which usually ends up 25 minutes). I walk up two flights of stairs as fast as I can to get to class everyday. After I get home, I do lunges around the house (to go bathroom, to go kitchen for food, etc.). I just got a…
  • Actually, I did see on Food Network (I think the program was called food detectives) that celery IS a negative calorie food, because of the energy it takes to chew and digest it. Here's the url to prove it. http://www.foodnetwork.com/food-detectives/index.html But as the video says, eating just celery as a diet is not a…
  • Just updating; I didn't care for the pear in there. I think I'd have liked the pear better by itself.
  • Cup of milk. Liquid fills me up; I'm guessing the protein keeps it that way too. Plus, it makes most people sleepy, so if you fall asleep, you can't be hungry, hehe.
  • I usually eat quick-cooking oatmeal (because it's quick), and some stuff I've tried adding that I liked include 1. bananas (sometimes with a half tablespoon of peanut butter) 2. apples and cinnamon 3. raisins and cinnamon 4. blueberries (or a mix of blueberries, raspberries, blackberries) I also plan to try microwaving in…
  • I feel you. I also have so much junk food in the house from friends and relatives, everything from chocolates to cookies to wedding cake from my sister's wedding the day after Christmas! I'm taking an early New Year's resolution about my eating habits. I feel like waiting for New Year's to start is just trying to…
  • If it's just the chocolate flavor you're craving, you might try those individual servings of Jell-o chocolate pudding. Or, if you can get your hands on some dark chocolate covered almonds, you get protein, fiber, and your chocolate fix in one sitting. Plus, research has shown that crunchy foods satisfy your cravings…
  • Isn't not wanting to eat the desserts a good thing? I should try that.
  • looks good ^_______^
  • I have to agree with the lemon juice, but I add a sprinkle of salt and pepper as well.
  • So yesterday I tried drinking the leftover cup with peanut butter crackers, and all was well. Probably was the fact that I drank it on a kind of empty stomach (and I drank two cups of it) that did me in. I won't do that again.
  • Thanks for the info. I usually drink decaf green tea, but like I said, since someone gave the coffee to me. I guess tomorrow I'll try drinking the rest of the coffee in the fridge with breakfast. If it has the same effect, I'll stay away from coffee from now on, and use the second pack of coffee only if I get constipated…
  • Aw, I'm sad now...
  • I think I read somewhere that multigrain doesn't necessarily mean whole grain; it just means that the bread uses different kinds of grains. So I'd suggest either reading the labels on the "multigrain"s really carefully, or going for the ones that actually say "whole grain".
  • Papayas, prunes, dates, figs, pears, raspberries. I've heard mixed stories about bananas, but they seem to work for me. A lot of the dried fruits you can mix into your FiberOne cereal to add some sweetness, or bananas or dried fruits in oatmeal, which is high in fiber itself. Also, ...BEANS.
  • So does it taste like pumpkin??
  • Ah, haha, funny you should mention that. I did apparently have some kind of ovarian cyst, but the second ultrasound showed it had gone away. Maybe I do need a nutritionist...:frown:
  • Sounds simple enough. What does this come out like, texture-wise? Puffy, like a souffle?
  • a Thanks much! Those substitutions sound easy enough (certainly not complicating the recipe any). Heart healthy bisquick sounds healthier, but still quick and easy. That is totally the last time I make Pillsbury grands. Those guys were huge! I did a bit of research, and Pillsbury does seem to have a whole wheat biscuit;…
  • Well, it was a guesstimate, but I did only eat 1.5 biscuit and .5 cup of sausage gravy (made with no butter and skim milk). I'm cutting down to one biscuit when I eat the leftovers for lunch.
  • Sounds good and looks even better (that picture really sells it!)
  • I would prefer a band because regular weights are not conducive to travel...
  • P.S.~If you're super diligent about watching the calories, there's a cinnamon special K as well.
  • If you're going for crispy, crunchy, and cinnamon, I'd say the cinnamon honey bunches of oats seems to fit that description perfectly. I've even sliced up apples, drizzled them with honey, and rolled them in this cereal. Sooo good...
  • This pancake thing is pretty good, but I couldn't flip it over when I was cooking it! So it kind of came out in pieces. I wonder how it would turn out if I baked it?
  • So those flavored tofus are not meant to be eaten out of the package?
  • I tried these for the first time a few weeks ago at the campus cafeteria, and I was surprised how good "sweet" fries are!
  • Does it matter if it's quick-cooking oats or instant oatmeal, etc.?
