Chocolate tea
So I've been looking into chocolate teas to curb my chocolate addiction, and I've found that yogi tea, good earth, and bigelow all have some type. Anyone ever tried these and have some comment, or can anyone recommend some other brand I haven't listed?

It's stickk.com You can set up your account so that if you don't check in or don't meet your goal by the weekly deadline, money (of an amount of your choosing) gets…

Hi All, I just got a Yonanas machine for Christmas. I have a bullet, and I've been using that on occasion to blend a banana into "soft serve". For those of you who have or have used the Yonanas machine, does anybody know... 1. do you have to eat the yonanas mixture immediately, or can you freeze it and will it keep the…

ww 1pt. peanut butter boulders
I bought a costco box of chocolate cheerios because they were on sale, but turns out they're too sweet for me as a cereal, so I was looking for something I could make with it and give away as holiday treats. This is what I found on food.com. Yummy. Would make again, if only because I still have some chocolate cheerios…

Chocolate pudding
I just made this, and it is amazing! http://thischickcooks.net/2012/06/01/chocolate-avocado-pudding-for-non-avocado-and-avocado-lovers/ But I used agave in place of the maple syrup, because I don't have any syrup. I ate half for breakfast (pudding for breakfast! ), and to the other half, I added a quarter cup of…

Cooking with viactiv?
It just occurred to me as I ate my daily dose of Viactiv that they look remarkably like those wrapped caramels. Has anyone tried melting Viactiv and using them in recipes that call for caramels?

Sprite Recipes
One of my guests for my housewarming left the leftover Sprite in my fridge. I don't really care to drink it, so I thought I'd make something with it and give it away for the Holidays or Halloween or something. The only recipe I can find is the cake with boxed cake mix and a can of soda. I have four cans of Sprite, so that…

Got dance videos online?
Since we're getting into the cold and rainy season, and I don't like to run/walk in the rain (I have slipped and almost landed on my tushie on more than one occasion), does anyone know of any website where I can find some good dance instructional videos for my cardio? I used to do the hiphop dance All Star Workouts on…

Family Diet Conflicts
There's some issues in my family regarding what to eat. Here's the problem: I am slightly anemic. I have been taking multivitamins with (supposedly) 100% DV of iron, but I'm still slightly anemic. I have been told I should eat more red meat. Problem is, I don't like most red meat; I'd take a fish fillet or chicken breast…

Dessert help!
I'm teaching Meal Management this school year, and the public school system has implemented a wellness policy. I was planning to do a unit on healthy substitutions, but so far all I've got that falls within the guidelines are my applesauce oat muffins. I was thinking about doing something like a fruit cake, pumpkin…

Microwave Single-serving Brownie-Cake
I found this recipe online, and I was wary at first, but with some old chocolate syrup left in the fridge, a craving for something sweet, and a desire to put off other things, I gave it a shot and...holy hell, it actually came out! So here it is: Ingredients: 2 T. flour 1 T. chocolate syrup (I noticed later that I actually…

Staying Fit While Recuperating
I suffered 10% compression fractures in my spine from a traffic accident the day before Thanksgiving. I'm wearing a back brace right now, and the occupational therapist told me "no BLT" (bending, lifting, twisting) and no lifting anything over 5 lbs. Unfortunately, since Thanksgiving, then, I've been living an extremely…

BMI for Asians
Is the BMI scale really accurate for all ethnicities? I'm an Asian female, 5'1", and about 95 lbs, and I've been told to gain weight, that my BMI is too low, etc., etc. But I read that when Kristi Yamaguchi was a competitive figure skater, she was 93 lbs and did squats with 203 lbs. Suddenly I don't feel so bad. Does…

Strength Training

sugar-free jam
I hear that jams and jellies aren't very good for you because they're loaded up with sugar, so I thought of making my own, but I'm not much for boiling the fruit, sterilizing the jars, etc., etc. Plus, I don't eat that much jam. Anyway, I happened to have some berries in the freezer, so I defrosted about 1/4c each of…

OK, so I bought a container of Eating Well roasted red pepper hummus from Safeway the other day because it was on sale and I needed a few more bucks to qualify for the Safeway freebie special for that day (buy $20 of groceries, get free 5 lb bag of potatoes). So I tried some with a celery stick, and, oh my goodness, so…

Decaf Coffee
I don't often drink coffee because I tend to get jittery, but today someone gave me a couple packets (the travel kind) of decaf coffee, so I brewed one up, added some milk, and drank it down.
