Thanks for the find! Hubby and I did Stronglifts last year but then it fell by the wayside when we got super busy. This renews my motivation to start it up again now that we are through our busy season and hopefully make enough of a habit to keep it going even when it gets crazy again. Love how simple yet effective this…

I just started "You Are Your Own Gym" by Mark Lauren. I don't have the book but the App is a great fitness coach and it lays out a 10-week program (4 days a week) for you. It has a program from basic all the way to chief, so it's good for every level. I did the first day yesterday (mostly arms) and my arms are totally…

I also like Wii Exerbeat. You can put together routines that last as long or little as you want w/ a bunch of different activities. I especially like the boxing and aerobics class. It calculates calories for you based on what you enter for your weight/height etc. (just remember they're an estimation). I feel like it goes…

All of you who are working through this are such an inspiration! I am also working through C25K. Now to go back and read through the boards for tips and answers to…

It's coming up on TOM and I am tired and emotional and feel like crap but I still got on the treadmill and killed a workout and stayed under my calorie goal. Now if I could only show a loss this week, been sitting around the same number for a month now....

I just did that DVD today :) though I don't have a HRM, sorry. It's essentially a circuit workout. So I recorded it as circuit for however many minutes you do it (I had to workout a certain number of minutes today as per a challenge, so I repeated one of the circuits to get in 60 minutes...

You look amazing! May I ask how tall you are? I'm 5'2"I started out slightly under where you did and have a similar goal. Sometimes it seems that I will never make it to that goal...

bump. Bought the NRLW recently and am working my way through the reading of it. Hoping my hubby and I can get the basement cleaned up and organized so we can set up the weight bench sometime in the next two weeks. I can totally devote 30 minutes 3-4 times a week to lifting. Can't wait to get started!

I'm in! I am 5'2 and have about 30 to lose. Hoping for a little more but even if I can get back to 133 I would be so much happier! I have three kiddos (9, 5, and 2) and work full time as a teacher. We can all do this, especially with the support of our MFPal friends!

This will probably sound really corny but, once I reach my goal weight, reaching my goal weight IS the "what" I did for myself. Honestly they way I am going to look and feel is the only reward I am going to need

Have any suggestions for those of us just starting out. A book that helped you get started or a website or anything? I have quite a bit to lose (30-40 pounds). I lost 10 in my first month and half and am happy with my progress but I want to be toned, not just thin. When the weight is finally gone I want to have muscles to…
