Not sure about calories burned etc, but I prefer a 30-45 min steady run on a nice day with headphones compared to 15 minutes of HIIT any day lol. Plus, it's hard for most people to actually get to the level of intensity necessary to truly constitute HIIT without a trainer or someone pushing them.

I would suggest your insulin resistance has probably decreased, your thyroid and other hormones are still trying to support someone larger so your body needs to adjust and reach homeostasis again at your new weight. It is kind of like being a teenager in a way ha. If you have been using a lot of soy in your diet, cut that…

I don't see what would be a "jaw dropper" about putting skim milk vs whole milk in your coffee. Seems like legit advice to me unless you were trying to do a keto "bullet proof" kind of thing, but in that case you wouldn't wantto use milk to begin with.

I lift weights about 4x a week in a split, sometimes 5, but I try to do 1 thing active on other days.

It sounds like you may have an impinged rotator? I would avoid military press and anything overhead at least until the discomfort goes away. Unless your doing powerlifting or strongman type stuff, I would avoid trying go with heavy weights altogether anyways. Something you find failure in the 12-15 rep range.

Any time I try to make them hey are rubbery, which is why I just use Kodiak cakes which are delicious an dhigh protein/fiber

Yes, especially if you worked legs/glutes, you could experience a "Pump" for a few hours afterward and if your soar there is some inflammation that will pass, drink lots of water

With the amount of milk I drink, if I drank whole milk I'd weigh 400 pounds lol

Walk/Run. They have plans to get conditioned for a half marathon over like 6 months starting at your level. Sign up for one in May now so there's no turning back, and start preparing.

I like taking a pre-workout and working out fasted in the morning and drink a shake shortly after..

Yeah, scales suck, it's good to check once a week but not the end all. Keep an eye for how you look, how your clothes feel, even then it can be tough because you see yourself everyday, people will start to notice and say things like "hey, have you been working out" haha, but it's true.

I like to change up rep ranges, but generally can't go wrong with 8-12 reps and you can build more strength in the 5-6 rep range. Both work good and sometimes I'll even go for higher reps like 20-30. As far as cutting fat, it will take care of itself. At 170 pounds and 20% body fat that's in a normal range. Even if you…

Looking at your stats and assuming you are working out and lifting at least 4 days a week, here is my suggestion: I'd try setting daily macros at 190 grams protein, 190 grams carbs, and 70 grams fat a day which would be 2150 calories a day. Split over 5 meals would be shooting for around 30-40 grams protein/carbs per meal…

For some people, yes. If I tried to work out at home, it would either just become me wrestling with my kids/dog on the floor or deciding to go make a sandwich instead..

I did 4 sets of dumbbell presses today before I realized I had a different amount of weight in each hand. I was wondering why I kept failing on one side before the other lol.

I would never go under 1200 calories a day. I would keep your calories and macros where they are at 1300 and add more weight lifting
-
My gyms always empty so not really haha, but I would if people were around

Somedays I eat above maintanence cals, like heavy leg days, others I eat below. High protein, fibrous carbs (except after workouts) and healthy fats. I've found training fasted in the morning. I went from 190 lb and 22% BF to 190 lb and 10% BF

I make a pre-workout (a type energy drink powder you can get from supplement stores) at night and set it by my bed in a shaker. When my alarm goes off in the morning I drink it down and press snooze.. I start to feel it kick in and I'll have my gym clothes on before the snooze even goes off. Done it for years and went from…

Could be water, and probably muscle, especially if your flexed measurements have changed and you said you look more defined. Sometimes measurements don't tell the whole story as looking in the mirror does

Some people say they gain 5 lb or so, but I'm not sure because I've been taking it for 5-6 years in one form or another hah. Monohydrate has been the most widely studied type and is cheapest. Try to get 5 grams a day post workout.

I love pre-workouts, caffeine is a solid/safe fat burner too. I take mine before a long run or strength training, works great for both. I use whatever I find on sale. 1.M.R Vortex is pretty good. Taking that now. Start with teh minimum.

If you've been lifting weekly for 2 years I would say you're way past the newbie "mind muscle connection " gains haha

Her weight has nothing to do with her body fat %

Everyone has abs! ... But your body fat determines if you can see them or not. If you have pretty built up stomach muscles you can see them at a little higher Body fat. For a woman if you get down to 20 or below bf % you will start seeing serious definition, you will have I very firm stomach starting at about 22%. That's…
