PB 2 is a great option (a couple people have already mentioned) It really satisfies a PB craving. I’ve added it to my powdered smoothies, mixed it with low-fat plain yogurt, mixed with a little water and spread on celery. It’s 50cal per serving (2tbsp) and 1.5 g total fat. I order on amazon.

I’m 19 days AF. I made a choice to change when....well, let me be honest, when I noticed alcohol was making me puffy and pudgy. So, it was my vanity that prompted me to cut alcohol out of my daily diet and rejoin MFP. Nineteen days in, I feel lighter, lucid, clean. I have been reading this thread and finding motivation…

I’m going to start tomorrow, but have been preparing this week by changing habits. I haven’t been on MFP for a while but will try to figure out how we can stay in touch in order to lend support.

balance9- thanks! I was going to PM you but I thought I would open it up to see what others were thinking or had experienced. Your metaphor, "... gasping for food. " is perfect. It is so true. If I always felt starved I would never be able to last and this has to be a life-long change. Slow and steady wins the race...so…

Thank you for your replies. I don't mind loosing the weight more slowly at all. I did this to change my eating habits (eat less bread and more fruits and veggies) plus I needed to cut down on wine consumption. Of course, I wanted to loose the weight too and new I had to cut out the bad stuff. I think I understand now. I…

I am so sorry, I hope I didn't discourage you. You have to remember that what you are doing IS working. You DO look great already. You are exercising and eating right so you are on the path to success. I was trying to help you figure out why you are not seeing results from personal experience. However, we are all different…

Wheat bread only. its 80 cals a slice. [/quote] Some wheat bread is 110 or more. It depends on the bread you are eating. And the calories in eggs, that will depend how they are prepared and how large the egg is. That is why I measure my portions or weigh them. Because there are many variables with the food calories, I tend…

I just re-read your post and realized you included what you ate for breakfast. That may be the problem. I whole egg, scrambled, is about 370 calories. You had 3 so you consumed 1110 in eggs alone. 4 pieces of toast with margarine would surely exceed 400 calories. Already for breakfast you exceeded your net daily…

I was the same starting weight but at 5'7". i just started a couple of weeks ago and have lost a few pounds. I think what people on MFP need to be careful of is not under-estimating their caloric intake and over-estimating their caloric output. I have been better about measuring out portions and weighing food to make sure.…

Hey ads! i just found this 2 weeks ago and love it. I think it is a great tool to promote lifestyle change. It is not about dieting, more about making healthy choices. It has also encouraged me to exercise more. My one important rule: a commitment to log everything I eat, even if it exceeds my limit. I actually don't get…

Ok, that is great advice, thank you for taking the time to reply. I really appreciate it.

Hi pkgirrl, Yes, I definitely eat back the calories burned from exercise plus a couple hundred more. Since joining MFP and having to document my food intake, I have made much healthier choices. For example, even those extra calories are from eating wasa crackers with a veggies or two apples (sometimes cookies or beer too).…
