Yes, I count fruits. I looked back at my food log and had 300+ calories coming from fruits alone. If I didn't log them I would be eating 300 extra calories, making my deficit smaller.

@orishp That's in the back of my mind too. I might gain 2-3 lbs by upping my intake, but I doubt it will be real weight. I'm only increasing my intake by a few hundred calories, and even then I'll still be in a deficit. It might take me longer to reach my goal, but I'll get there eventually. I changed my mindset to losing…

No, lol, it's just a mental thing with me. I always eat under even though I know I should be eating more.

Motivation is not an issue when I’m doing a workout I enjoy. There is nothing more demotivating than forcing myself to workout to something I don’t like. There tons of workout videos on youtube so maybe start there if you have not done so already (Befit90 comes to mind). Try perusing the beachbody site and check the…

I'm thinking ahead here, but I was wondering what everyone plans are after they complete the 30 days Shred? I’m thinking of moving onto Ripped in 30 or Body Revolution.

Tonight I did Shred Level 1, followed by 30 minutes of cardio (Body Pump sans weight). According to my HRM I burned 399 cals total. The one thing I noticed was that I can now do a complete set of modified push-ups without stopping, lol. Before I could only manage 3 and my arms would give out. How did everyone do tonight?…

I'm dealing with a similar issue. I managed to keep my skin clear for 1 year+, which coincided when I started eating healthy and exercising . But down the line, I fell off the wagon and stopped working out altogether. Ever since I started exercising again, I keep getting these pimples that are tender to touch and they…

Thanks, I'll aim for a 200-250 cal deficit. Just to make sure, it's normal to see an initial gain when upping cal intake, right? I want to lose inches, not so much lbs. TBH, even if I drop the last 10 lbs, I don't think my body will look any different. That's why I am incorporating 30 days shred in my workout routine.
-
I edited my post. Well according to my HRM I burn around 350-400 cals doing her 5 mile workouts, which is 88 minutes. I only burn 200 cals doing Shred Level 1.

If anyone here wants an alternative site with streaming fitness videos, you can check gaiamtv.com. There’s a catch though- you need to sign up for membership to gain access to the complete workout video since it will only allow you preview 53 seconds of it. Their collection is not large, but they provide a sample of…

Wow, this is a neat diy. I'm going to try this with a couple of old shirts that are clogging up my drawers.
-
@ttdowls I friend requested you :D I'm also hoping to lose inches, not so worried about the numbers on the scale (though it's a bonus if it registers a loss). I’m only going to weigh myself after the 30 days. Hopefully the before and after pictures will show the changes in my body (fingers crossed).

I workout with my HRM so I just go by the numbers it displays after I'm done.
-
@bostonandie I do another workout after it, either Leslie Sansone WATP or jumping rope.
-
I just finished Shred level 1 a few minutes ago and burned 200 calories :D I'm not sure I'm quite ready for level 2. I might stick to level 1 for a couple of more days since I'm still having trouble with some of the moves.
-
I'm using 5 pound weights since that's the lowest I own. I might increase the increment but right now this is the one I'm sticking with. They're not too light that I can breeze through the entire routine without muscle fatigue, but not too heavy that I cant control the movement.
-
I know what you mean. It's not boring at all, and I didn't feel the need to check my watch because time just flies by when you do the workout.
-
I started it a few days ago :D You can add me if you want.

An alternative site I would recommend is Gaiamtv. You can sign up for a free trial and check out the Fitness Studio section. It has tons of workout videos from beachbody and other companies.

I'm doing Turbo Fire :flowerforyou: Feel free to add me. I would love to have a TF buddy. I'm currently following the HIIT-3 schedule.

I also upped my calories. Since I'm working on the last 10 pounds I changed my weight loss goal to 0.5 lb a week (instead of the usual 1 lb). After a week of increasing my intake and eating all of my exercise calories I lost 1.8 lb. My daily deficit went from 400-500 to 250-200. I actually lost more once I upped my intake.

I'm 5'1" and my goal weight is 105. I'm working on the last 10 pounds. I don't really have any useful tips besides counting calories. I'm averaging about 0.5 lb loss a week, sometimes nothing at all. My weight loss is not very consistent. I recently changed my weight loss goal to 0.5 lb a week, so I'm practically eating…

I weigh in once a week every Saturday morning. I log my weight whether it shows a loss or a gain. I know during TOM my weight goes up 1-3 lb, but it disappears as soon as it's over. I end up losing the water weight and more. Also if I ate something with a high sodium content the scale interprets it as a gain. I only pay…
-
bump :P I reached my first goal weight today :Weighed myself this morning and lost 1.8 lbs (despite eating more) Did anyone accomplish any of their goals this week?
-
I eat back most of my exercise calories. I lost 1.8 lbs today despite eating 1500+ cals. However, I do run into trouble when I end up burning more calories than expected. On days like those I try to plan what I'm going to eat the day before, so I can net 1200 calories. It doesn't always work, but I find that if I don't eat…

I'm 5'1", and working on the last 11/12 pounds. Feel free to add me.

1. Buy wedge pumps 2. Fit into my old size 4 jeans ( I can't think of anymore....this is difficult)
-
Amen! Seriously, 20-50 lbs didn't appear overnight so they won't disappear overnight either. People need to realize that slower weight loss (especially when you don't have much to lose) is better as it is more likely to stay off. Who wants to keep yo-yo dieting for the rest of their life?

Give it two weeks, 3 days is not enough to judge whether it's working or not.
