Nuts !! Healthy Fats :)

Happy to see this post. I'm back after a few very frustrating years health wise and have discovered I have MS [which explains A LOT of my struggles] I'm very focused now on everything I put in my mouth [new for me].. where it comes from and how it's processed [goal - going for as little 'processing' as possible. So I'm…

So don't spend an hour at the gym.... Exercise is for your health, not weight loss You cannot out exercise a bad diet. One Starbucks can completely undo an hours workout calorie wise, but you still get the benefits to your heart. Find exercise you don't resent. Don't spend an hour doing it at once, work up to that. Also,…

There is a lot of great advice here! IMO the top 3 points are 1] Hydration - exfoliate and moisturize every day 2] Strength training to build muscle and support the skin 3] Patience - Your body is going through an enormous transformation and it will take time to adjust. I particularly appreciated what one person said about…

I agree that if you only have one cup per day then have it any way you want it. However, I kind of forced myself to drink mine black for a week just to see if I could adjust, and now I actually enjoy it more without the fat and sugar. Just a thought:)

great job!! looking forward to seeing that in my own pictures!:)

Would love to hear how these work for you:)

Exactly. I just turned off my sugar tracker but it was bugging me, too. Now I'm watching my carbs instead.

Wow, sounds like we have similar issues! We just have to stick with it though, right? Slow and steady will win in the end:)

I was hit by a truck [literally] a few years ago and really struggle with exercise. i can walk [on good days] and do as much as possible. I should probably post another question soliciting exercise advice for people who suffer chronic pain from injuries..

Good points. I think there IS something wrong with my thyroid but every time i've had it tested it shows as 'low/normal'. Thyroid issues do run in my family and I should probably be tested again. I know there is no substitute for healthy eating and exercise but I was hoping for a 'booster' that works, too:)

I've struggled with this, too. I couldn't go cold turkey so I have a diet cherry pepsi or dr pepper once or twice a day tops. By forcing myself to drink water and have balanced meals my cravings have dimished and now about 2 weeks in it's really not a problem.

YES! BIG Difference, hon:) Keep up the good work!!!

I once heard Oprah say if she eats even a grape after 8pm she won't lose weight that day. The last 3 days I've stayed within my calories but eaten some after 8pm and sure enough the scale hasn't budged. I'm glad to hear it doesn't seem to be hurting you all though. Will definitely try some of your tips!

I was wondering the same thing. I've avoided the show until I just got serious about weight loss again and now I'm wondering whether I should watch it at all because the results are so unrealistic for those of us who live in the 'real world'. These contestants must be working out 8-12 hours a day and eating next to nothing…
