  • OP - I hear ya!! Just got under 250 and am happy but scared/worried/apprehensive to celebrate because I've failed so many times before. I had back surgery 3 months ago and the neurosurgeon told my husband I need to lose weight or I'd end up in there again. I don't want to do that! Each day I try again and have been doing…
  • High fives all around! I skipped a yummy looking gooey donut today too. It was hard but I did it! YAY!
  • I snack on Fiber One 80 calorie chocolate cereal during the day. Also, add in a fiber bar here and there. If I don't have the chocolate cereal to snack on, I add a serving of high fiber cereal (they look like little sticks. I got the generic.) to my morning oatmeal. Makes a bigger serving, I feel full longer, and it keeps…
  • A couple years ago, I lost about 40 lbs. on WW. Then I paid for it for a year and did "do" it. Grrr!!! (All online, no meetings) I've been tracking consistently on MFP since mid-January and feel GREAT! I'm exercising a LOT, eating so much better, and having scale successes too! I like MFP better than WW because it's free…
  • A dietitian told me to drink half your body weight in OUNCES of water. For example, a 200 lb. person should drink 100 OUNCES of water. I'm sure it's different for everybody and various doctors, dietitians, etc. will say different things. Just clarifying the "half your body weight" water "rule". :drinker:
  • I am totally with you on this emotional/stress eating business! ARG!!!!! It's so frustrating. I have two kids also and as soon as they start pushing my buttons, all I can thing of is sticking a high carb/high sugar/fatty something into my mouth. ICK! And then I realize I'll have to track it - I'm forcing myself to be…
  • If you are hungry, eat! A small light snack - maybe a veg - and wait 15 mins. That's how long it takes for your brain to realize that you put something in your stomach. I have been feeling hungry almost hourly during the work day. I eat small snacks (lowfat cheese stick, carrots, etc.) to keep myself going. I find if I…
  • I've done Pilates DVDs at home and find it hard but that's how I know it's working! I ease into a DVD - doing part of it the first time, adding more until I can "complete" it. I'm not sure I'm doing the exercises correctly but at least I'm doing something, right? I am careful and don't do any of the moves if they hurt. I…
