I worked in vet clinics for 12 years and all I can say is socks and gloves won't do it. Wear industrial work or garden gloves. A cat scratch or bite can absolutely land you in the hospital. Good luck.

You guys are awesome. After reading everything I have decided to change my goals to one pound loss per week instead of two. I have been doing excellent at two AND I know I can reset it in a few days. I feel way better knowing that I will still be working at losing. This is so, so important to me. I sure don't want this to…

I have had no sugar in almost 5 weeks and frankly this shocks even me! Mostly I see it for the fat that it is, as opposed to the yumminess! I also remember that for me, it will set off the craving for more and I never know when I will reel it in again. Maybe one day I will learn portion control but not yet.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Bengal Spice from Celestial Seasonings. Sweet, but sugar free and caffeine free. Delish!

It is SO cool to see what a difference 25 pounds make! Such an inspiration to me. Thanks for posting!

I gave up lying to myself. I decided to get honest about what and why I was really eating. I gave up this love relationship I have with food and reframed it as one of sustenance and fuel. I have also given up: fried foods chips sweets For now.

For me I think about the consequences of over eating (the ones I haven't experienced YET): 1. Diabetes 2. Fatty Liver Disease 3. Leaving my daughter without a mother 4. Not being able to ride an airplane, or an amusement ride 5. Knee replacement surgery 6. Death I think of these and remember this IS in my control and ONLY…

I love your story. Thanks for sharing! So true in order to get something we have to DO something. Good job on the doing!

Hey there. It looks like we are trying to lose the same amount give or take. I will be 41 in June. I so desperately want to live the second half of my life in a body I am proud of and that I feel good in. Also I feel it is my responsibility to model this for my daughter. I log in every day, I log all of my food and I tweak…

Thanks you so much Bobbi. Super helpful and motivating. I love, love, love the debt analogy. It so makes sense. As does the piece about this taking time. I know I often come into most things with a sense of entitlement. I want what I want and I want it now; hence the weight gain! Weight loss will not and should not work…

It is such a journey. I too have just started back on it and am looking for support and accountability! I have been on this site for quite awhile off and on but have never done the message board thing. Now seems like the time to start.

Welcome back!! It's hard to come back, I just try and remember this is a forever change. I am here to change my lifestyle and my thinking and losing weight is the by-product!
