It gets easier, much easier, after a few weeks when you start to adjust. When I started I could barely do a minute and a half, but at my peak I could do a good solid 40 minutes. Couch to 5K app on your phone is a great way to build up from nothing (search for C25K).

My view is this; 1. Fitbit is a load of crap for calorie estimates, ped. and HR only. 2. Muscle gain may make it look like you haven't lost any weight, especially if exercise is new to you. 3. Weight loss is not linear. 4. Do not continually reduce calories, it doesn't work like that, go with what the MFP calculator tells…

I had this issue when I started, I found that wearing sunglasses and a cap work well, because they create a barrier in your mind between you and other people you run past. Get those sports sunglasses that are really bright colours and reflective so they can't see you looking at them/avoiding them. The good part is that its…

Haha thanks, I should point out I dont actually do any sort of dancing beyond when I'm cooking, and that is why I thought the sign was great when I saw it. B) Kitchen karaoke is the best way to cook anything.

Sunbathing and enjoying the beach for a change. Also being able to use the suna at the gym.

I agree with the above, as a safety net only eat back 50-70% of the estimate from mfp. This covers observation bias, errors in MFP's calculation for some exercises and the fact it is never 100% accurate for any one person.

Hey, you want to lose roughly the same amount as my goal was when I started. That's really my only credential here haha! My main tip you be to just make small changes week by week that just become habits. There no point going balls to the wall working out everyday and eating only salad if it lasts a month at most.…

My weekends are my downfall every week. I blow right through my weekly average all the time. What I've found the best damage control to be is cut back on breakfast and drinks on sat/sun. Then treadmill the quilt away on Monday.

Meat! But I do know to moderate my intake and limit red and processed meats. It's more of a need to fulfill protein requirements and ease of access than anything. I do have objections against farmed chicken and battery eggs etc... so I vote with my feet on that and only buy free range items.

Replace one food item a day, once a week or two, with another that is less calories. Example: BLT > ham and cheese > just ham > chicken wrap > chicken pieces + bread roll > chicken pieces + fruit salad. That's 500 to 270, an improvement of 230 for one item at lunch! That's my secret.
