I do log my breastfeeding calories and eat them back. My son was born 5 months ago and I have lost 36 pounds this way since the day after he was born bringing me 18 pounds lower than when I got pregnant :) So I ate 1200 for "me" and 300 for "him" since he nurses 6 times a day but get's 1-2 bottles to supplement. I certainly wouldn't want to do anything to compromise breastfeeding & so far it has been going great there. I had asked my doctor about exercise & diet at my 6 week appointment & she wasn't terribly helpful. I'm 5'5 & starting weight was 160's. For me this is a size 14 jeans because I carry it all in the legs/rear :( My goal had been 130 & hoping to see a size 6-8 again........ but I am now 143 and can wear a size 8!!! I definitely need to lose a little more and tone up whats there but I'm not as concerned about the scale…
