  • Thanks! This is perfect timing as I am trying to quit the diet soda addiction I have!
  • I am in West Bend
  • I'm all for hiking! :)
  • I am new here as well. I live in West Bend. I love nature. There are alot of beautiful trails in the area, especially the Ice Age trail. We could meet up once a month and do a walk on a trail somewhere. The Holy Hill area has a few trails that are amazing any time of the year.....lots of hills too! : )
  • The Warrior Dash is great! I was not able to do some of the obstacles that required alot of upper body strength....my poor arms could not pull my big ole body up! The fire obstacle and mud pit are the best. Have fun if you go!
  • Thanks! I'll give it a try!
  • An alternative to the Dirty Girl 5K is the Warrior Dash. It is similar but is open to men and women. I think the obstacles are more difficult but I was able to do most of them. You can skip an obstacle but you would not be eligible for any prizes for coming in 1st place. My goal was just to finish and not be last! There is…
  • When you sign up, there is a pull down box to select your team. There is also a place on the registration page where you can enter your team's name. After that, your team mates can sign up and select your team. You can also go in after you have signed up and change your status from individual to a team member. I created a…
  • I have signed up for the Dirty Girl run in Hartland on Aug.18th. I am very excited because I am going to be in better shape! I did the Warrior Dash last year and finished in 53minutes. It was alot of fun! There is also a Dirty Girl 5K in the Twin Cities for those of you in northern WI , here is the link…
  • Wow! Just think if we took all this energy that we are using to disagree and use it for what this site is all about...losing weight! :) Peace out!
  • Gotcha! I understand. Honestly, I have not taken the time to read the rules of the message boards.:ohwell:
  • This is my first challenge and I am very excited! Feel free to add me! Go red!!! :)
  • Sooo, did you try a Fiberone bar yet?
  • Too funny! I don't feel so bad now! But they taste sooo good!
  • I'm from Wisconsin, just North of Milwaukee
  • No man is worth over-eating. I used to eat an entire bag of cookies or some other junk when my first husband and I would fight. The only person i was hurting was myself!

  • I am 40 and it is harder! In the past all I had to do was watch what I ate and the weight came off. Now I have to work at it! But that's OK, it's worth it!
  • I'm in! Go red!!
  • You can do it! Don't give up no matter what! I am the heaviest I have ever been. I was really hoping to start my 40's out healthier but it's not too late. I have 10 months before I am 41! :)
  • Hi Melinda, I will join you on your journey! We can all do this together! The support and encouragement we get from one another is priceless!
  • I am 5'4" and hace a goal weight of 160. I was told by the YMCA trainers that I have more muscle mass..well at least I used to. I always thought I had a larger frame but according to the wrist test, I have a small frame. My poor bones...all that extra weight!!
  • It does help to write everything you eat down to look at later. I used to cheat myself by noting adding the unhealthy foods I ate. Now I am writing everything down. This site is great because it is FREE and so far have been able to find everything I have eaten in the search area!! I have to lose 70# which is not too far…
  • Congratulations on your weight loss! The fact that you want to lose the weight naturally is awesome! I think alot of people want to take the easy way out and think that surgery is it. Keep it up girl! I'm inspired!!! You show your Dr. that you can do it and make him eat those nasty words! Jeana
  • I also suffer form low self-esteem and a big part of it (no pun intended) is because of my weight. I don't like to shop for nice clothes if it doesn't hide the fat. I can't understand how heavy women can walk around in swim suits, revealing clothes, etc. and not seem to be bothered by their looks. I bet they like…
  • Wow! Thanks for all the info.!
