my husband and i both work from home. He's a whistler, a leg wiggler AND a toe tapper. Somedays I really don't like him.

I found mine accurately tracked my steps but I quickly "outgrew it" in my running training because i wanted more data about what i was doing. I still use the fitbit however when I know I'm going to have a particularly long or active "walking day" (ex. walking around Quebec City on vacation for 5 days, hiking etc) because…

They're so clean....

I have some sport wash spray (like febreeze but designed for stinkier body oder etc) that I will sprintz my stuff with before hanging to dry. I usually wear my stuff twice and then wash.

Check your local "used" stuff websites. I just bought a brand new Polar Fit for $75 (retails for about $130). There are also some Timex HRMs on Amazon for under $50

Keep strutting your stuff and being true to yourself. Jealousy is a terrible thing and I would think hard about your relationship with this person and if it's something you want to keep in your life.

Lookin' good D!

Last week was a crash and burn week for me coming off bootcamp and some medical testing, but I'm about to tuck into my dance dance dance as soon as buddy comes and buys my vacuum cleaner here in a few minutes.

Everything that Kay said is the same for our family too. We all eat the same meals. I usually cook only 2 portions - husband gets one, my son and I split the other.

Also if you're looking for another month besides February to visit the Ottawa region, the month of May brings the Tulip Festival which is pretty gorgeous!
-
Canada is easy enough to figure out on your own :) Montreal is fantastic, Ottawa has Winterlude happening in February as well which is a pretty big deal here (ice skating on the Rideau Canal, Beaver Tails, Maple Snow, concerts, the snow kingdown) as well as some fantastic museums (National Gallery, Museum of Civilization,…

I log but I don't worry about what I'm eating as long as I'm not going too crazy. The drinks alone will do you in, but OMG South Beach! Have a ton of fun :) I'm going in January!

http://www.amazon.ca/Runners-World-Performance-Nutrition-Stronger/dp/1594862184/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1314235471&sr=8-1 This book had a lot of information in it that really broke down the science of what different products were, how they worked in your body, how your body uses different types of fuel & hydration. I'm on…

I would back off a bit personally and if he offered to write down what he ate in a notebook, that's a GREAT start. Even just seeing what he ate in a day will help him. Continue with good home cooked meals. Instead of asking to go to a gym, maybe go for a walk together - if after that you want to go to the gym then say I'm…

If you aren't afraid of a few calories, Tetley has a tea infusion that is quite nice, made with real sugar. I think it's 50 calories per packet/500ml made drink. I use one packet to a 990ML bottle when I need a bit of a boost to slog through the water drinking

Totally interested!

Are you on facebook? Like these guys http://www.facebook.com/spartanrace they post WODs that will help you train. It's a good start to figure out what to do. I'm doing the Spartan Race next summer here in Ottawa and will be using their WODs as well as the things I learned in bootcamp between now and then to get ready and…

Recently had water with lemon and cucumber in it and man was it ever good!

http://nutritiondata.self.com/foods-000102000000000000000.html but if you can, 10-15 minutes of sunshine between 10a-2p each day will give you what you need.

IMHO anything that purposely creates an instability in your posture/stride while you are running (moving in general) is bad news. Every person I know that has worn any of these "easy tone" type of shoes has ended up with serious muscle strains and injuries. Ditch them and head to a running shop that can help you find a…

Lunchables are so processed. I wouldn't eat those ever (and I eat a lot of junk food sometimes). Try packing your own lunch. There are some fantastic reusable lunchbox containers out there (like laptop lunch bento boxes) where you can ensure you are having a healthy lunch.

We were married in 2002 and our first dance song was "Earth Angel" by the Penguins. We chose it because we had a 50s style diner complete with table top juke box selections and every time we would have a meal there, he'd play it for me.

I should add that I find the Shock Absorber bras fit very true to size. It'll feel super snug, but for the bigger boobies the support is amazing.
-
I highly recommend seeing if you can find a Shock Absorber bra. I've gone through several brands and this one has held up amazing over the years, keeps things where they should be and they have different levels of support depending on your chest size/activity. Shoes - go to a running store and get fitted for a pair of…

Well I survived the celebration. Had a chicken wrap with dinner, several tasty booz-a-hol drinks and got to sleep in past noon <3 I plan on spending the whole day doing a whole lot of nothing because tomorrow is bootcamp day.

I'm sure all of us in one way or another with our parents (especially 30 somethings with aging folks) find that as the years go on, the roles reverse and we are now the parents and they're the kids -lol- My mom will be 70 years old in February and I swear sometimes she's worse than a 15 year old girl being told she can't…

My mom is a bit that way. When I go home to visit her, I cook dinner and I pretty much tell her this is what gets put on the table if she doesn't like it well, she's free to make a sandwich...

I have one and it lost it's appeal for serious tracking after about a month. I use it for general vacation walk about tracking and for tracking my sleep when I find I'm having particular "not enough rest" issues. I have upgraded to a Garmin 305 for exercise

You're running about a 14 minute mile. In the exercise list if you look for running/jogging it will list by mph and Xminute miles. As for your appetite, your body needs fuel to run which is why your appetite is increasing but your body is shaping. I highly recommend Runner's World Performance Nutrition for Runners (you can…
