  • Well done to all of you on this and similar plans!!! We used to run the whole time as kids; never even crossed out minds that it was "difficult". Hang in there, you'll learn to love it again. :flowerforyou:
  • Hi Mishy! I'm not sure what feedback you're looking for. Price? Times open? Choice of machines? I'd join whatever one is closest to me, value for money, etc etc. Go and see each one, check out the times they're open, see if you like the set up, the people etc. G'luck!
  • Eat less to lose weight; exercise for fitness.
  • Pulling this outta my *kitten*...... If your muscles aren't sore/tender the day after a workout, you did not push yourself to the limit. Now, maybe you don't start out to push yourself to the limit. Don't be afraid of gaining muscle like the guys, it just doesn't happen for us that way.
  • Yup, running. Push ups, core work, squats,
  • I sprinkle a tablespoon on yoghurt. I buy the ground version. Can't be bothered grinding it myself. You're not serious about this last bit, right? :noway:

  • I'm 5' 8.5" I'm probably 147 lbs. I hid the weighing scales under the bed over the weekend and won't take it out again 'til I check in again after 30 days on P90X. Having said that, 140 was always the 'figure' I had in my mind. But, what I'm after is a) clean diet, b) not too much booze, c) consistent working out, d) build…
  • I LOVE IT!!! :flowerforyou:
  • "You crave what you eat", therefore keep the krap out of the house. Consider moderation rather than abstinance. (If I'm told NOT todo something, it just makes me want to do it even more.) PLAN, PLAN, PLAN your eating. No use coming home from ________________ (fill in the restaurant name) and being AMAZED that we've…
  • Try and not to look at this as a 24 hour thing, i.e. "I consume this amount of calories between these hours and I should burn this amount of calories between these hours." This is a lifestyle change/improvement. Eat less to lose weight: exercise for fitness. Workout when you decide to, i.e. what fits your schedule.…
  • FUNNY! :flowerforyou:
  • Fantastic stuff!! :flowerforyou:
  • Booze :blushing:
  • krap, I thought you needed help EATING it. I was going to volunteer.
  • If I wear mine without a workout bra (maybe doing yoga so just have a tee shirt on) it TOTALLY slides down on me  So I just make sure to wear a workout bra all the time when I'm working out so I don't get aggravated with the bloody thing moving around. :glasses: And yes, get a HRM with a chest strap.
  • FanTAStic post man. Thank you SO much. This especially spoke to me: :flowerforyou:
  • The photo of you and your two year old working out in front of the telly is BRILLIANT!!! Congrats :flowerforyou:
  • I try not to think of it as "cheating". (I mean, what, are we doing sleeping with someone we shouldn't be???) Instead I think of it as making healthy choices. This isn't a 'diet' I'm on. Everytime, it's a choice. :flowerforyou:
  • According to your goals you want to be healthy AND amazingly skinny. Sounds pretty skinny to me. :ohwell:
  • Are you probably going to one of the "chain" places? Like Arbys', Outback Steakhouse or Olive Garden? I'd say stay away from pastas. You could go with a small steak, baked potato and steamed veggies. BUT be sure and ask that no extra butter be put on the steak of veggies. Ever notice how "shiney" the veggies are? That's…
  • Well you have both so why don't you start with P90? You can always switch to P90X if it isn't doing it for you. I was bored by P90 after about 35 days but at least it'll give you an introduction to Tony.
  • Have your partner help out? :ohwell:
  • Ah. That's exactly why I asked the question. Here's the deal. I'm pretty fit (I do P90X) and I couldn't do your workout regime. First I'd get bored, bored, bored. Secondly, that's a LOT of repetitions of those exercises, to do just ONCE, never mind do them pretty much every day. And thirdly, as has been pointed out, you…
  • Tell us what your exercise plan is presently. Then we can compare.
  • In the workout book that came with the DVDs, Tony outlines an example of a maintenance program. Check it out. :flowerforyou:
  • Sean. It's done. Move on. We don't know how much you ate therefore have no idea of calories etc. This is a life style change and you're been doing great! One meal of lasagne isn't going to ruin everything. Take a deep breath. You'll be grand. :flowerforyou:

  • When you order direct from Bowflex the shipping is free. Tamtastic also gave me a code that was good for a discount which of course I totally forget. Something like HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I ALWAYS Google for coupons before ordering stuff. Try it out. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Select Tech's.
  • Ah go on and have fun! It's not a race, don't even think about your time. Don't start near the front. Have a blast and come back and tell us all about it. :flowerforyou:
