  • Not until she's ready and willing to lose weight will she do one thing about it. And there's nothing anyone can do to hurry that moment along. My father used to always laugh at people trying to get children to "walk". He's always say "Children will walk when they're ready to." Don't feel ANY obligation to try and help her…
  • a) train well, you have plenty of time, get some schedules from the internet b) no one knows 'til you run
  • I don't want to hijack, but........ I make my own with Olive Oil, Balsamic Dressing, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper and maybe a clove of garlic. I use it very sparingly and account for the calories. For me I want to ENJOY what I'm eating and FF salad dressing, for the most part, is krap.
  • I don't eat before working out in the morning. Roll out of bed, get dressed and head straight down to the basement. If I was to eat I'd have to wait at least 30 minutes and I don't have that spare time before I head out to work..
  • Here's my deal with people losing weight: Saw a girl in work about 3 months ago, mentioned to her how well she looked. (She'd lost weight and her hair looked different.) Well, she's being buried tomorrow. Cancer. Lost weight and her hair looked different because of the wig. People lose weight for all kinds of reasons.…
  • Here the deal ladies....... All these clothes are made ALL OVER THE WORLD. It's not as though there's a universal "guide" for what an American size 8 is in Vietnam, China, ........................ fill in the appropriate country that you see on your clothing label. There's no way in he ll that they are uniform. I don't…
  • This made me laugh. :flowerforyou: Carry on with your usual viewing.
  • Namaste

  • Would you consider investing in P90X, some bands or weights and a pull up bar and make your home your gym?
  • Give yourself a break. :flowerforyou: Trust me, the first time you tried walking you couldn't do that either. It's not about getting it perfect, it's about consistency. If you're still doing Pilates (or any workout for that matter) in 100 days, as well as partaking in a healthy way of eating, you won't recognize yourself.

  • Good for you girl!!! Well done.
  • Always. I'm a brown belt and started a couple of years ago, hmmmmm, I turn 46 next month. But then again I live and breath by: "Phuck 'em if they can't take a joke!"
  • Wow, that's a lot of stuff. I'll always go with my inner gut, you said it yourself "in my heart of hearts, I really don't want to do it". But then again, there's the other answer "get over it". Sorry babes, you're going to hear all kinds of answers on this one, at the end of the day, make a decision and live with it.…
  • Hey Lynnie, Is there anyway you could put away $20 a week or every two weeks? Before you know it, you'd have the money. It's really a wonderful program. G'luck!
  • Yeah, and a lot of times we're right.
  • I'm not sure you're thinking of the same thing. P90X is a12 set DVD home "boot camp" workout routine sold here in the States. It also comes with two very informative books on nutrition and the workouts. It lasts for 90 days. (I'm on round 2 and LOVING it!)
  • This won't help you re your cookie situation, BUT, it'll help you in the wallet if you just but a doz eggs and throw out the yolks. It's SO much cheaper that way. G'luck:flowerforyou:
  • This should help http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/23912-links-in-mfp-you-want-to-read-again-and-again
  • Welcome:flowerforyou: Be sure and check out all the "pegged" messages that are FULL of information. There's great stuff here.
  • W O W :noway: Good for you! (As well as everybody else who's given it up.) Just remember, you were probably taking in close to 1,000 calories a day drinking that stuff!
  • If I was to "find" time to exercise, I'd never do it! I make an appointment to get my *kitten* out of bed at 5.50 ish to get an hours workout (P90X) 6 mornings a week. (Not so early on the w/e mornings.) Can your husband help out? Have you asked him?
  • I'm not being a smart ar$e, but, what's best is which ever one you'll use the most. No point in spending that much money on something that'll end up being a place for laundry. Do you do an exercise now in Curves that's similar to any of these machines? Personally, I'd pass on the treadmill as I can walk/jog/run outside for…
  • "Hello? Is this JPMorgan Chase? What's my balance?"
  • Yeah, Yeah, blah, blah, you're pregnant and gorgeous! NOW WHERE'S A PHOTO OF THAT HOT HUSBAND OF YOURS!!!!!!! :noway:  You're looking beautiful girl!!! :flowerforyou:
  • I like 2 Weetabix biscuits, 3/4 cup 1% milk and a banana. Or Cheerios instead of the Weetabix. Weekend, it's a whole different issue as I have plenty of time to make a veggie omelette. Sometimes I'll mix 2 scoops of protein powder with 8oz of light cranberry juice and a banana.
  • Oh trust me, you'll see some pretty intersting stuff! Here's my tips: DON'T start near the front. (You'll get trampled :grumble: ) Try and not go out too fast. (You'll realize you have when you get to the first mile marker and it'll say something like 8:45.) Don't be concerned about your time. Have fun! I know this may…
  • Just as long as it isn't deep fried. Then it isn't so healthy. :flowerforyou: It's all in the preparation: poached, baked in tin foil with some lemon juice.
  • I swear, I'm not trying to cause trouble here, BUT..... There's hardly any mention of husbands/boyfriends/girlfriends/partners. And when there was, he was referred to as "AWESOME". Shouldn't it be normal that the other part of the relationsip (if there is one) helps out too? Am I just naive? :frown:
  • Congrats!!! :flowerforyou: When I reached goal (through WW) I was terrified to increase my calories. I actually kept losing weight for another couple of weeks and then started to trust the system by upping the calories. I did simple things like: I used to have half a bagel for breakfast, I upped it to a full bagel. Nothing…
