good for you, it's great stuff. You may want to check out the calories and fat content for your tracking. I'm a fan of flaxseed.

Abs are made in the kitchen. You're welcome! :flowerforyou:

Hi dixiesara, Wow, you have a full plate! I didn't see any mention of a partner. Are you doing all this by yourself? If you have someone, I'd enlist their help. If not, I admire you! Either way, all the best.

Eating too much protein? No, seriously. Plan your meals BEFORE you eat them. Put it down on paper so you can see where you can make changes.

Oh, oh, I'm SO trying that this weekend. I'll use Trader Joe's soy chorizo as my BF is a vegetarian. Thanks so much girl. (By the way, you're still beautiful and your HUBBY IS STILL HOT!!! )

Or use a heart rate monitor.

LOVE running in the rain, esp. in warm weather. Wear technical socks, NOT cotton. The technical socks (just like the technical clothes) wick wetness away rather than just soaking it up. NOTE: especially with the summer, and therefore thunder storms, coming. Never run in storms. If you can hear it or see it flee it. Other…

GREAT JOB!!! That's a pretty impressive time for a first 5K! Most people are happy to break 30. Well done. :drinker:

I brought my Huffy bike to my local bike store to have the brakes checked and a slow leak fixed. He wouldn't even touch it. He said they build them with parts that need specific tools. If anything happens their insurance doesn't cover them. Just sayin'.

Good for you girl! :flowerforyou:

I didn't like to hear this the first time I heard it either, but, "Abs are made in the kitchen". I guess it goes along with "Exercise for fitness, eat less to lose weight." You're looking great by the way! I hear you, we both have the same problem area :ohwell: :flowerforyou:

Yeah You!!! :flowerforyou:

Yup, contact organizers to see if there'll be a baggage hold area. (They shouldn't even charge for it.) I'd bring the LEAST amount of stuff. Your home key I'd pin into your shorts. You can probably fold up a couple $10 notes and also put them in the pocket of your shorts. Maybe bring a crappy sweat shirt that you don't…

I don't know enough about the whole starvation mode thing to comment, but, how about trying to eat more for your lunch? Also, a handful of nuts as snacks may help. Hummus (excuse spelling) and chips. Try spreading your calories out over the day. G'luck

The most I'd have was "mucky stuff". I'd just need a liner. What I LOVE about it is no PMS for me. (I'd become "she who must not be looked at, never mind spoken to" around my period. It was horrible as I felt so out of control. I used to get bad cramps but that all went away. The last couple/few months I've had more…

That's such a breath of fresh air to read. I also use protein powder and have a good, clean, varied diet.

Good for you!!! Keep at it. That's a great way to do it. Walk/run. Remember when we were kids and we just ran because....... well, no because, we just ran!!!

There's pretty much nothing you can do in a week that'll make any difference. You're getting great advice here to just do it as you normally do, i.e. run/walk it. More advice: DON'T GO OUT TOO FAST. On the day you'll get caught up with all the excitement and hype. DON'T STAND ON THE STARTING LINE. You'll get run over.…
