  • It's an add-on to a push-up: As you dip towards the floor, you pull one knee into the elbow of the same side i.e. Right knee towards Right elbow Then switch up. These are a fun way to get your legs and side obliques involved! A fun total body workout. I like to do 3 sets of 15.
  • I'm 5'3 and my current weight is 130.5lbs My Goal Weight is 130lbs by my wedding which is Oct 15th. My UGW is actually 125lbs - that would be FAB!
  • Welcome!!!
  • Hi!! I'll take some as I have lost ALL of mine. Went from a C to an A
  • To whomever said they cannot tell the difference between pasta and shirataki??? NO WAY! LOL. But yes, I LOVE LOVE These! Just bought 3 packs tonight at Safeway. The linguine noodle looks like it could substitute in a pad-thai dish. Nummmers... But no, does not even begin to taste like real Italian pasta - nice try ;)
  • In a nutshell, this won't happen overnight. Think about how long it took for you to put on the weight you so desire to lose? I'm not saying it will take forever, but it won't happen in an instant. Make small goals and monitor your portions. From the info you posted above (which isn't enough to make a hard and fast call) it…
  • You can also download INSANITY onto your computer and do it at home. I think I might do that tonight and just alter the exercises to accomodate my new knee! Good luck with your journey.
  • I used to have gym memberships but after my knee injury I had to cancel them for lack of use. 2 things happened: 1) I saved $65/month (that's $780 a year!) 2) I got creative with not only my diet, but home workouts as well I'm not saying that the gym is a bad thing, but if you are the type of person who can do it at home…
  • could you stay away from it for 6 days, and then enjoy some on day 7? That's what I do! and what I have noticed, is that on day 7, I tend to want other things, so I forget the things I really crave.. End up not even eating them at all! Good luck, candy is a hard battle for me too!
  • Grab some onions, mushrooms, green beans and some green pepper. I lightly spray my wok with Pam, and then stir-fry with a little water to cook the veg! If you like rice and noodles, a good alternative is shirataki noodles (found at safeway). They are 20 cals for 1/2 bag, 2g of carbs and are quite tasty! Be sure to drain…
  • Pannypainda...... That's quite low for your height and current weight honey... have you considered upping your cals? 900 cals is a number no one should hit. It's not maintainable and won't keep your body fueled for what you need it to do for the day. Sorry to pester, but I made that mistake in my younger years and paid the…
  • I second Kym, A nice hot cup of TEA!
  • Russell.... sorry, but I'm confused about how more than 8x of water is required in order to potect one's liver. Can you please explain?
  • Thanks Sugarbone!
  • How does one change it?
  • -6-8 almonds -Tbsp of Peanut Butter (NUM!) -1/2 can of tuna mixed with a bit of fresh salsa -Poached Pear with lemon zest
  • If you LOVE noodles like I do, I found a super cool item to try from Safeway found beside the mushrooms on the produce side... Shirataki Noodles! for 1/2 of the package: 20 cals 0.5g fat 3g carbs 1g protein GLUTEN FREE Vegan friendly trans-fat free!
  • Thank you!! I seriously can't get enough of the stuff! I went to safeway tonight to get groceries for my fiance (ugh, and with TOM, the sight of chocolate made me drooly), so I bought some more PB and had my 2nd tbsp of the day tonight with some water. All natural is the way to go - I agree! The Maranatha (found at choices…
  • YES YOU CAN and it's easy than some people think. If you want some support or want to trade tips, please add me. I've lost 35lbs with diet and only doing a few free weights 3x per week.
  • To the Original poster: Good luck finding out what is causing you this discomfort! To everyone else who gave their two cents about whether low carb is good or not... FYI: that wasn't the original question.
  • to this day, I still LICK the PB off the spoon!
  • Hi Roni!!
  • I drink them daily but make sure to drink enough water.... They arent healthy, but curb my sweet tooth.
  • I like to think of exercise being good for the heart and muscles. That being said, I cannot do any card as I just had a knee operation. I'm 4 months post op and with a few sit ups and push ups daily, I have lost 32lbs. I've done it all through proper eating.
  • I grab a crystal light packet and sprinkle a little in.... the flavors are fantastic!!
  • It can be done without cardio... just needs a deeper deficit and less dairy, carbs, sugar and sodium.. Or, spin in circles 3 times and and rub your tummy at the same time ;)
  • IMO I'd be careful with the yogurt.... if you have a cold, it may not be a good idea as dairy tends to aggravate phlem. Yuck!
  • I've lost 32lbs so far, and have been eating my neighborhood Wendy's out of their 1/2 size apple pecan chicken salad at least 4 times per week when I'm at work. I of course don't put the dressing on, but why would you want to when you have all that NUMMY blue cheese in there!
  • Welcome!!!! Im from Vancouver as well :)
  • To add: If we eat to live ( and NOT live to eat) then restricting HUGE amounts is no better than consuming them. In my HUMBLE opinion, lifestyle is what we are all aiming for since we only have one life to live. Rushing weight loss or gain doesn't help the longterm, it helps feed the need for immediate gratification. Just…
