I'm experiencing IBS symptoms the last couple months and I've found that on bad days - I have NO energy. So, I try to limit my crummy feeling days by managing the IBS. Then on days when I feel good, I take advantage and try to exercise. It's been really inconsistent, since I'm trying to figure out exactly what is causing…

Agreed, interesting thread! I love seeing the differences that 5'8" can be. I'm 38, currently at 141 (down from 147) and aiming for 130/135. I'm small chested, normal butt/legs, and tend to carry my weight in my tummy. Everything says that's the worst spot to carry weight, and I would agree. I have a family history of…

oh, me too! I'll add you and a couple others from this discussion. I'm 37, 5'7" , and currently at 148. My goal is around 135 (or whatever doesn't give me extreme muffintop).

I can't do whey, and in general find that plant-based protein shakes just don't taste as good as their whey cousins. This one from Whole Foods is pretty good though - I get the Chocolate cinnamon. I usually mix with no sugar almondmilk + greens + nuts. It's not terribly exciting, but is easy to make in the morning and…

If your grocery store has Tessamae dressings, I'd suggest them. They are in the refrigerated section near the salad lettuce at my stores. They are "real" in the sense that it's ingredients that you would make salad dressing with - if you took the five minutes to do it yourself. I find that i just need a little.

If you don't like thongs, try simply perfect by Warners (sold at target). They are full butt panties that don't ride on me and are always comfy. The only bummer is they totally give you a VPL with tights. For shorts, or looser workout bottoms I don't have an issue.

First, Congratulations on your baby! November is pretty recent, so you might want to just chill out on traditional exercise for a little bit. From experience, I know that is tough to do b/c you want to get back to pre-pregs body - but your body is still probably settling into itself. I started back with a mommy + me yoga…

oh, it's tough to not be tempted by a BF's food choices. I would suggest sticking to those smaller portions, introduce more "you" foods, and try to get active together. It's corny, but it's fun to walk/job with your bf. We used to go to the YMCA together and even though we weren't really spending that time talking to…

Welcome back to MFP, maybe we can motivate eachother!

I'm older than Stevie086, but am finding that HIIT workouts and Les Mills Grit have changed my workout game. They incorporate strength exercises- i've been doing them since February and while I'm not where I want to be - my muscles are looking a lot better. I'm not losing weight as fast as I'd like to, but I really think…

My eating is still off-track, but exercise is on-track lately. I'm hoping that by filing out MFP I'll be more mindful of my eating. I go through periods where I use MFP religiously and other times when I don't. I find that i lose more weight when I use it. I take a couple exercise classes during the week and I'm really…

I really like the granola bars from Kind. They are easy to pack and help me keep my energy up between breakfast & lunch. Some other ideas: boiled eggs gaucamole mini pack + raw veggies (I just ate this and it was actually satisfying) Greek yogurt apple + almond butter (I have to pack the ab individually though, b/c I like…
