It takes me 30 minutes to walk 2 miles on an incline. Based on the calculation above (weight x .3 x distance) I am only burning 103.8 calories in 30 minutes? Yikes. I always thought I was burning double that, 100 calories per mile.

I've been loving turkey bacon lately. 4 slices is something like 140 calories (35 calories a slice). Lots of good protein in there!

Didn't read all the posts (12 pages, wow), but you need to combine iron-rich foods with vitamin C for maximum absorbancy of the iron into your blood stream. My son was anemic as an infant and had to take the liquid supplements for 3 months, and he was barely anemic. I would take a supplement.

I am again quitting, today is day 7. I've quit a dozen times and always fall back into it. I use the patch and have no cravings! I get cocky and think I can have just one here and there, and I always spiral back into smoking. No more.

I have been really loving turkey bacon. One slice is 35 calories so for breakfast, I have 5 slices, and it is under 200 calories and totally filling. Yum!

I am a huge fan of the show, and I have to agree with you. The first season was outstanding. I wish every season could be like that. I think this latest season was probably the second best.
