If your knees are hurting, stop!! You can blow out your knee. You are not doing proper form with something. Everything else should hurt, but not your knees.

That's about 10 pounds a month which would be about 2 1/2 pounds a week... Not sure if that is all the healthy but I say eat a lot and just exercise even more.. drink LOTS of water, and you can do it. I am trying to lose 30 but I plan to do it in 6 months.

Everyone says that is too low but MFP sets me only at 1330 with no exercise.......

I would say drink a lot more water. I am notorious for getting light headed frequently when I am not drinking my water and when I do, never happens.

I have to agree. The internet is full of free and legit information and support if you know where to look! I refuse to pay for any workouts or 'training' until I am ready to get into some serious weights

I found that lots of fiber during the day keeps me full and I don't tend to eat as much in the evenings. However, today was a fail because I was running around all day and gave in to temptation. I keep it simple and stick with what's on the package. Unless it's meat. I will weigh it after I cook it because it's always smaller. But now reading some of these, I am wondering if that is the right thing to do... I mean, why would I log a 8oz steak if it's only 5oz when it's done cooking?

I would consider 140 for 5'9'' to be way skinny... Lol. I am 5'5'' and 140 on me looks amazing... lol He is a guy, they don't know any better. Maybe you are gaining muscles?

I just keep reminding myself that I didn't gain it all in a day so I can't expect it to come off that quickly. Personally, I drive myself crazy constantly looking in the mirror wanting to see changes. I need to hide all my mirrors and scales or a few weeks.. haha

Meh, no one replied :/ I ended up pushing through... muscles actually feel better now. I just wanted to make sure I am not going to hurt myself working the sore muscles everyday.

The last part has me dying right now. Yes, LOVE dancing around getting my heart rate up. Dance is such a great cardio!

Have a friend on FB trying to convince me that "cabbage diet" is a miracle worker and is the way to go. I tried to politely tell her that isn't the case and send her this way but she has went to the dark side :/

That's what I am doing. I much rather prefer getting down to just a bra, booty shorts, and tennis shoes and getting a good workout in! :P
