Someone very close to me once told me I was insecure because I count calories. Lol! Whuuuuuttttt??? Anyway, there will always be people who have negative things to say about the positive things you are doing in your life. You just have to keep doing what you do for YOU and allow others to have their opinions (you can't…

A headband works best for me. It's more to keep the sweat from dripping than to keep it off my face.

Good Morning! I know exactly how you feel. I started my "lifstyle change" journey about 12 years ago and while it has not been easy, I can say its become a way of life. Over the years, I have come to realize that in order to be healthy and fit, there will have to be some work and sacrifice on my part. The good news is that…

Agreed! My thighs are always an issue for me as well. After loosing a few pounds, I am FINALLY starting to see them slimming down and I'm so extatic about it. - About 4 months ago, I started lifting quite a bit heavier (as advised by a trainer) and doing cardio after weights. It appears to be working .... slowly. My things…

Drinking out is usually a problem for me because I LOVE margaritas and most restaruants do not have a low-cal substitute. I have learned to limit myself to 2 dirnks AND get an extra burn in when I know something like that is on the horizon. When I drink at home, I have a few go-to low or now cal mixers i use with vodka.…

Wow! Amazing results!!! That's awesome!

I can definately relate. I sometimes have the same problem with my husband. My solution is, I tell him what I'm planning to cook and offer to fry his or make him white rice instead of brown, etc. I don't want to force anything on him just like i don't want him to try to force anything on me (girl scout, cookies, fritos,…

YES! YES! YES! - Seeing photos of myself definatley make me more mindful of my true situation. I think it's a really good idea to take periodic photos of yourself as a part of tracking your progress.

Believe it or not, even pizza and waffles can be enjoyed in moderation when adopting a healthier lifestyle. The key word here is MODERATION. You're fine. When you wind up in those situations, try to go for the healthier options or ..... don't eat the whole thing. :-) To-go boxes are okay. Have a great day and keep on…

If I'm going to stack up some calories to splurge on a burger, its DEFINATELY going to be 5 Guys! I'll run an extra 4 miles for that!

^^^^ And ... totally this! You don't have to give up a thing. It's all about portion control. I enjoy snack size goodies as well and LOVE skinnytaste.com!

The one thing that I can tell you is that you're not alone. Adopting a healthy lifestyle (for most people) doesn't happen over night. Please don't give up. Just keep making small changes and before you know it, you will have adopted a whole new attitude towards food. Surround yourself with MFP friends who are eating the…

I do Les Mills Pump at the gym and LOVE it, but didn't know there was a DVD! - Thanks!

I'm finding that too often if i don't get it done in the morning, it doesn't get done. However, its probably best to find a time that works for you and make that "your time". You may find yourself looking forward to it. I do. :flowerforyou: Good Luck and congrats on your decision to run a half marathon!

That's a wonderful accomplishment which we ALL know takes a lot of dedication and willpower. Well Done! Keep up the great work!
