Just saw this....can't wait to try! Thanks! :)

Of course you 'can' eat anything just in smaller amounts...sometimes that's satisfying to me...other times I want more food lol. Last night we had 'taco salad' I used ground turkey, lettuce, cherry tomato, onion, 1/4 cup shredded cheese, and a few sliced black olives. I mixed light sour cream and salsa together to make my…

A helpful ND (Naturopathic Doctor) on Youtube has a channel called Natural Health Resources..she has some very good info and specializes in the lymphatic system

go into those 3 dots at bottom 'more' then click on goals, then under Nutrition Goals click on 'Calorie, carbs, protein and fat goals....then you can edit your calorie option (if this is what you are asking for lol)

@ladyoftherocks & @g2renew I was in same boat! I switched to unsweetened vanilla coconut milk...much creamier than almond milk and no aftertaste (I found the almond milk kind of interfered with the taste) 3 TBSP about 8 calories! Worth a try...

I've done it...I try not to fall into what the 'weight loss world' deems good or bad lol...meaning it's an individual journey...and while guidance is very helpful...it's ultimately up to you! Plus in your case skipping breakfast simply feels like a day of 'intermittent fasting' - Simply be aware of your calories, if that's…

I make this almost every day...(well I make at least 3 in advance or at one time and grab 1 in the morning) Love it..fills me up and can make such a variety, or come up with your own. I use a small tupperware type container...I have about 5 of them, but can certainly use the glass jars. I also usually use pure maple syrup…

Thanks for responding...I'm slowly wrapping my mind around doing this right, this time around. The low calorie concept on here did not work for me......and I mean 'mentally' more so than physically. I started dreading meals as I felt i was always worrying about each bite! My calculations seem to point to about 1600 for me…

I may actually try this one this morning! http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/recipefinder/healthy-pumpkin-bread-recipe

I wouldn't even let the past day or so register. Just because you are wanting to lose weight the bottom line I'd think (ultimately) is to be healthy. I'd be more concerned with getting rest, staying hydrated...giving your self a break...you are human...and taking care of you. Can you do some things just for you? Watch a…

So good to hear someone speak up for GOOD food...just because we are cutting back doesn't mean we have to eat 'diet' food! As a health practitioner I try to seek out the good stuff...and have been making personal pizzas similar to yours for years...doubt my pics would look so good! lol and like you if I want chocolate I go…

Come cook for me!! :o)

Good for you...can't hurt to see what works- I try to keep an open mind with food - especially as each of us is different etc. Good luck!

While I could talk more on the subject - have to run out...I notice you don't log in any water? Water plays a huge role in our intestinal system. Makes the job much easier - along with helping the bowel to form waste properly and help with easier evacuation, it also soothes! Soothing is what you want! :o)

I think the thing to remember here or anywhere is YOU are always in charge. For the most part all of the information we tend to take in, are other peoples opinions! Even if we are presented with so-called facts, you still get to decide! Personally I try to stay away from 'absolutes' - why put added stress on myself? Unless…

Ah yes...Menopause and all it's glory!! lol - Seriously...am in the midst of peri-menopause...still get periods but they have been a bit odd with duration and occasional spotting. So I know it's making it's way to me! As far as the 'dreaded' weight gain...I 'know' about this stuff and yet I didn't prevent it! - Plus up…

Great advice Darin's Dad! :o) And good for you Darin Pretty much everyone is giving similar advice...take one or two areas and work on it...don't overwhelm yourself with being perfect or getting everything right in your life, right away... What you put out there is what you tend to attract to you - keep that in mind..start…

I don't...luckily it doesn't happen too often...but I KNOW what I did..I'm not one to wallow in it ;o) I may exercise more as my 'compensation' - so that helps. Thankfully each day is a fresh start!

More often than not it's bacteria in the digestive/intestinal systems. A good probiotic taken once/twice per day should make a big difference. Drink a good amount of water..but drink it over time...not a glass in 5-10 min...as that will definitely bloat you. Can also consider digestive enzymes with cooked meals (enzymes…

Let's see...how many reasons?? lol 1) Just cause I'm getting older I refuse to buy into the crappola - 'oh it's inevitable you'll gain weight' with menopause etc 2) Watching patients at MD's office where I work (as a natural health practitioner, I run the holistic side of the practice) who are in pain or on meds due to…

This one used maple syrup...but could easily substitute whatever sweetener you like! I'm trying it this weekend http://www.thegraciouspantry.com/clean-eating-pumpkin-spice-latte/

How excitiing...not to mention a job well done! Great motivator for everyone! Congrats!

I'd seriously consider some weight training - simply to keep the 'fat-burning' going longer - if you aren't already. But as the other person mentioned as well...up you calories a bit as well...a matter of experimenting a bit!

confused, but bump anyway for later!

haven't made these but they look good....lots of variations to try with imagination.. http://www.kalynskitchen.com/2006/10/egg-muffins-revisited-again.html

Hi Amy Welcome...and good for you for already see progress from healthy changes! I am a fan of yoga and meditation and when I stick with yoga, I really feel the difference! The meditation is wonderful too-that I do daily...start with 5 minutes if you have to...but just take time for you! I started by going to youtube and…

Good for you! I used to belong to a Raw Food Group in my area..and loved the meals many would prepare- such a treat! I've been vegetarian for about 20 yrs who occasionally eats fish...but I often recommend 'raw food days' to my clients for cleansing and/or weight loss jump start. It's so easy on the body when doing this,…
