I had horrible stretch marks with my kiddos, mainly the first two. The second two didn't give me any new ones nor made my older ones look any worse. My oldest son is seven and I still have mine. They've faded, yeah, but they're there and still noticeable for sure :\.

Welcome! I've been using the Slim Fast shakes for lunch myself, they don't taste horrible and leave me feeling full for quite a while. Feel free to add me, it's wonderful having a support system

I have 1/4 sleeve of my version of Alice in Wonderland on my left bicep, I love AIW and it fits for me. When I was 16 we lost our home in a house fire and didn't have insurance. We ended up living in a tiny trailer with my brother and his daughter. It was like I had been thrust into this new world and had to find my way to…

That's awesome, my 5 & 7 y/o boys love hooping with me too
-
I'm sure if you practice with it you'll have it down in no time!
-
Wow! All the more reason for me to keep it up, I love reading success stories about hula hoops

I just bought a hoopnotica hoop and a dvd, it shipped out today so I'm really anxious for it to get here. Those ones are not as heavy as some though, they're usually 2lbs or less :)
-
Go you! How do you like your 5lb?? I think my 4lb one is as heavy as I'm going to go
-
How do you like Zumba? I've heard of it but have no idea what it involves lol. I should look into it, I'm trying to add as many 'fun' exercises as I can to my routine. I get bored of standard stuff like walking and the like :indifferent:
-
I've done a lot of research on this and what I've come up with is that studies that had been done showed that you can burn 6.9 calories per minute with a regular hoop, it also stated that weighted hoops you burn more per minute but it didn't say how many more :\ It also depends on how hard/fast you're hooping as well as if…

My first one that I started out with was 2.5lbs and that worked really well. Weighted ones tend to be a bit easier to keep up if you're starting out :) the only place in store that I've found them is at Walmart though. I bought my 4lb one from sports-hoop.com and then I bought a non-weighted one today from hoopnotica.com…

Yep, I feel you there! I have four kiddos myself so I'm trying to get my stomach tighter so it will hopefully help my back pain. I have some smaller ones that I use for my arms too but I've never tried my legs....I'd probably hurt myself lol
-
I've never tried it but I've been told that if you don't have enough room to try hooping while standing on your bed O.o I guess it burns more calories too since you're having to keep your balance. Could be a tad dangerous if you're just starting out though lol
-
Try out with a weighted hoop made for adults :) I found my first one at Walmart for $19, it's my 2.5lb one. It's great for starting out and you can find it in the exercise department.
-
I started out with my 2.5lb hoop for a while before my 4lb one showed up. I did have some soreness and one a pretty good bruise when I started but I'm not having any problems now since my sides are conditioned :)
-
Have you tried using a larger hoop? I can't keep child hoops up too well but my grown-up hoops I can keep up no problem :)
-
Ooh, I haven't been on that site, thanks!
-
Lol! Well since I'm a girl I don't have a problem logging it ;) I'm hoping to improve my core muscles so I can help with back pain that I have. My doctor said that doing such would alleviate most of it.
-
I'm sure that still counts  ! I was amazed at how expensive they can be online, I did find my 2.5lb one at Walmart thought for $19 so that wasn't too shabby :)

I'm not a teen mom anymore but I did have my first babe when I was 18 :) I'm looking to lose 70lbs, feel free to add me if you'd like!
-
Hi! I'm a mom to four boys so I know how it goes with wanting to get back into shape, I myself am trying to lose 70lbs. Add me if you'd like, I'm sure we could help each other out!
