  • I have a clover below my right hip - my birthday is on St Patrick's Day
cross with a red rose in the center. The cross means something to me - my faith - which I chose in a bad spot bc it's tramp stamp location, haha.
Can wait to lose the weight for more to come.
  • One...middle of my top back just below my shrit line.

Celestial Sun/Moon - it means balance. Balance of all sorts of things; good/bad, positive/negative, choices, dark/light, etc.

2.) Right wrist - A sparrow with the word 'believe' under one of it's wings
3.) Left ankle - five cherry blossoms on a vine, for myself and my family
    4.) Nape - wings
5.) Right calf - lotus flower
6.) Right calf - above lotus flower, quote "Learn from yesterday, Live for today, Hope for tomorrow"

    I've got two:

My first is the Zia(on my foot), which is on the New Mexico state flag: It represents the four seasons, four times of day, four stages of life and the four directions. The circle in the middle means never ending brotherhood and love. I got it because I'm proud of where I'm from, where I am, and who I've become. :)

And my second is a quote from William Shakespeare's Hamlet; it says: "To thine own self be true". It's taken me a while to figure out that I need to put me first, and be true to who I am.
  • LOVE LOVE LOVE tattoos. I have quite a few. Here are two of my favorites. They are both Coast Guard related. I got the anchor because I sailed across the atlantic ocean. My back piece is also about sailing. I was a navigator which is why I have a nautical star, the swallows signify mileage at sea.

I love this. I wanted to do something like this on my shoulder, but I'm afraid I'll look like one of those cars with the flip-flops on them because I already have another on the way and we're planning on having at least one more! haha but this is BEAUTIFUL!

Greek letter Omega against a starburst background on my left shoulder blade. Simply means the end.
  • I have my four grandkids names oldest to youngest with a blue heart between each name around my wrist like a bracelet: Madi * Makenzie * Daniel * Chase * I love it!

Phoenix on my lower back, right hand side (the squishy bit! I'd post a pick but it shows a bit too much buttock  ). I suffer (or have suffered) on and off with depression since my mid teens and it's just a reminder that no matter how bad it gets, I will *always* rise from the ashes

I've been planning a second one since my daughter was born 3 years ago but I've yet to hit on the right design (the first one took me 10years - if I'm going to have something etched on my body until the day I die then it's got to be right  )

    Mine was evolved around this..

    Revelation 20

    The Thousand Years

1 And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. 2 He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. 3 He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time.

From this we developed a whole sleeve which in the end took around 100hours and close to $10,000 I would not change a single thing! People say gee thats expensive but it is a huge part of who I am.

    Here are some pics :)

  • I have 2. The first one I got when I was 19. It's a haida whale because my name is a haida word. The second one I got a couple of years ago. It's a moth on my thigh and it was kind of an "I'm moving on" thing. I got it shortly after me and my ex broke up. I want more. I don't really have good pics of either one.

I have 2. The first is a heart outline (just black--Im not a fan of color tattoos) on my neck behind my ear and it means that I turned 18 and wanted a tattoo.

The second says "Make Believe" across my left wrist. I call it my marriage to acting. it reminds me every day what I want out of life and reminds me to have fun.
  • I have three.

My first is a cross with a rose, on my left calf. Respectfully gotten as a promise to Jesus Christ!

My second, I got a butterfly with my birth stone color, and my favorite color, which is actually kind of hard to see, in between my shoulder blades. It's a very common tattoo, but I love it. Needs some touch ups though.

    (Sorry for the little blood.)

My third, I have a breast cancer awareness ribbon above my right inner ankle. Gotten for my grandmother side of the family.. my grandma, and a few of her sisters had survived breast cancer.

I've got a few ideas for my next tattoos, but if I were to upload all those pictures it would take a little while.

If these pictures don't work, then I'm sorry.. haven't figured this out yet.

On my wrist - Stars in each color of my kids' birthstones
    tn.jpg

Behind my ear - A Mother's Day gift from my daughter (she got a matching one). It's the Zibu symbol for "nurture".
    NewImage.jpg

On my shoulder - A heart and 5 footprints representing my children's journey from my heart, to wherever life takes them.
    1007101626-001.jpg

On my neck/back - A tribute to my big brother who lost his life to Leukemia almost three years ago, and way too many years too soon. He played guitar for most of his life, and I'm certain he is now my guardian angel. I want to embellish it by adding larger angel wings on my shoulder blades/back, but I heard that area hurts like a bi*ch!

I also have the Chinese symbol for "friend" on my foot (a group of us got it), and we don't need to talk about the meaningless "tramp stamp" I got just because I was stupid and thought it was a good idea. NEVER get a tattoo if it doesn't have meaning!

I have a DNA tattoo on my right hip. I don't have any pictures, but it's about two inches long. I'm a total science geek and love genetics. I got it when I was 19, and now I'm 24 and working in the genetics field as cytogenetic technologist. Planning on getting a chromosome tattoo soon!

I don't have one - but I just wanted to share one of my friends tatts with you as I think it is very meaningful.
She suffers from Cystic Fibrosis and was the lucky recipient of a lung transplant last year. As a tribute to her donor she has the words "Every Breath Counts" and the date of her transplant tattooed across her lung area (on her side).

My right ankle, it is 4 puzzle pieces and my daughters name, she has autism. Red, yellow and blue the colors for autism.

My lower back, on the right side, two blue roses shaped to form a heart. No meaning, just turned 18 and wanted a tat. I will eventually cover it up probably.

I also plan on getting one on my left ankle for my son, he has Tourette's syndrome. The tourettes foundation uses a man symbol that is hard to explain exactly but i plan on using them and have them holding up my sons name. Teal, the color they use in the tourettes ribbon.
  • I have 1/4 sleeve of my version of Alice in Wonderland on my left bicep, I love AIW and it fits for me. When I was 16 we lost our home in a house fire and didn't have insurance. We ended up living in a tiny trailer with my brother and his daughter. It was like I had been thrust into this new world and had to find my way to adapt to it, it took almost a year to get our own home again.

I have a trail going from my elbow to my wrist (wave, not straight down) on my left arm that says "Lord Grant Me Strength" in Gaelic with leopard spots all around it. I've gone through a lot in my life and I wanted that to remind me that God will never give me more than I can handle and that no matter how difficult the situation might be I will always get through it.

I have the Celic knot for motherhood with four flowers around it that are colored in my sons birthstone colors on my left arm by my elbow

I have mirrored images of a shamrock design on both my forearms from wrist to elbow, for my Irish heritage. There is a bit more meaning to that one but it's a tad personal.

I have a design made of of four stars and flowers, it was for a baby we had by miscarriage. The stars represent the month s/he was due and they're colored in the birthstone color that we lost him/her, I have that on by my wrist on my left arm.

I have a small tattoo by my right wrist that when you first look at it it looks like a butterfly but if you look closer it's actually a cats face, for my obsession with cats. They've always been attracted to me even as a child. Strays would show up alllll the time at my house.

I have a tribal/shamrock design on my upper back, I'm getting "mother" in Gaelic tattooed between the points under it. It represents my mother whom I love dearly

Most of my tattoos make up 3/4 of my left sleeve. I have intentions of getting my sleeve finished in the near future and then starting on my right arm.

Not the best picture but this is a family tatoo. Our last name is Crow, so all the males in family get a crow tattoo someplace.

I have a phoenix on my right hip that symbolized " coming out of the ashes " after recovering from self harm / anorexia. When I hit goal weight, I am getting it retouched and a flower design done around it.
