I'm gonna go eat bacon now. And lots of it. Like i've been doing for 30+ years.

That's what she said.

Beef Jerky, Snickers Ice Cream Bars, Peanut Butter, Strawberries, Bacon. Basically anything that tastes awesome.

I'm not buying the whole "it's a private school so their rules" type of argument. If a private school has rules then parents should be notified about them ahead of time before they enroll their kids. I seriously doubt this private school had made the parent aware of the "no oreos" policy ahead of time. I see absolutely…

I was a soldier for 6 years, so yes haha.

Only if you lift bro.

LOL if pee is coming out that dark color, it aint pee and you have some issues.

There is simply no other exercise, and certainly no machine, that produces the level of central nervous system activity, improved balance and coordination, skeletal loading and bone density enhancement, muscular stimulation and growth, connective tissue stress and strength, psychological demand and toughness, and overall…

I drink about 1.5 gallons of water a day. Suits me good. Alot of it is during my training. I also have coffee a few times a day, and a diet coke usually at dinner.
-
Yes it's normal. More water in, more water out. Also you don't have to suck down all this water and drink nothing else. You can have other types of drinks as long as you track them if they have calories. The biggest way to get rid of water is to drink more water/fluids.

Um, what? Care to explain what you mean?

I was using it as an example to try not to over-complicate things for her. I could have stated that .75g of protein per lb of LBM is sufficient, but it's easier to use 1g per lb of bw for someone that isn't as versed in the subject. It's fine either way.
-
Oh. So wait, you mean you don't eat anything for 2 days straight?
-
Lift weights. Free weights, machines, cars outside in the parking lot, whatever gives your muscles resistance. :)
-
When you eat at a deficit, you lose fat, muscle, and water. You can minimize the muscle loss by eating the minimum protein amounts which varies but a good rule of thumb is 1g per lb of bodyweight. You "can" eat less, and you "can" eat more. But 1g per lb is good. Then you need to be doing some sort of weight resistance…

What's 5:2 again?

Awesome job. Now you can educate those that are in need of help. :)

I hate cardio. With a passion. I'd rather eat less. But I have alot of discipline when it comes to eating.

I've done fasting but it was IF where I fasted from 8pm to Noon the next day, and had an 8 hour eating window (12pm - 8pm) but I still ate my calories which was almost 3000 at the time. It didn't do anything for me. I probably still would have lost the same fat if I had dieted normally so I'm kinda biased against fasting.…

Nope. I prefer to eat.

It's why you don't see many bodybuilders running 5-10 miles 4-5 days a week. :) In fact, most marathon runners aren't really "jacked" per say. Some are, but most have horrible body composition.
-
Yea but nothing prepares you for when you step off that bus. Trust me.

Healthy is very subjective. You could eat all the vegetables and non-processed foods in the world, but if your family has a history of heart disease, guess what. If your family has a history of high cholesterol, yep. Sadly there are people out there that believe that because I ate a chili cheeseburger instead of a 6oz…

I did keto a long time ago and even eating a proper amount of protein and doing a good training regime I still lost some muscle, but I did it for roughly 6 months. Way too long. I learned from it though. It's great for people that don't care if they lose muscle and just want to get the weight off. If you're already…

1. Less is more when it comes to lifting. 2. Don't wait a year before starting to do heavy Squats and heavy Deadlifts. 3. Engage the lats before doing wide-grip pullups. Don't just use your arms and pull up.

It's the mysterious anti-carb carb.

Start running and swimming. Then swim some more. You'll get rid of the fat. Also start practicing folding a t-shirt into a 6 inch square and putting hospital corners on your bed to the point of where you can bounce a quarter off of it. :) I spent 6 years in the Air Force as an EOD tech team leader. Good luck man.

None of it matters because in the end all you need to do is eat a calorie deficit under your TDEE. If my TDEE is 3000 calories and I were to skip breakfast and lunch and eat 2500 calories at dinner, I would still lose 1 pound per week of bodyfat as long as I ate enough protein and did some sort of weight resistance…

Are you eating a calorie deficit? Have you given it longer than two weeks?
