  • Everybody is different, but as I do a similar commute with trains and subway two or three times a week, wearing a backpack with laptop, charging cord, work files and things like umbrella and lunch, I log those minutes as "hiking". I do walk at an accelerated pace a compared to just about all the other commuters. This works…
  • I am much the same, but I use the lowest weight of the day in a spreadsheet that allows me to do a running 7 day average of weight. Usually the lowest weight is first thing in the morning just after my shower. I log the average weight every two weeks or so here.

  • I have a number of diet restrictions and my doctors all say that its just fine to be bad once in awhile, but just not all the time! Over the holidays i gained a lot of weight being "bad" -- but it comes right off quick as soon as you go back to healthy eating.

  • Thank oyu for the support all who replied. Follow up today with primary care who told me I am also diabetic and placed me on meds for that too. This is going to be hard figuring out what is good for heart, good for blood sugar, and good for weight loss.
