  • Feel free to add me for accountability. I’m also 30s with PCOS. I had some success with MFP years ago, but my weight climbed back up again. Only on day 2 of my re-start
  • I’d agree to do a salad and ask for the dressing on the side. If the soup is clear/broth based versus creamy, it’s likely to have fewer calories. You can also get grilled fish/veggies for fairly low cals. BUT- what I prefer to do when I’m going to a restaurant that looks as delicious as yours is “bank” extra calories for a…
  • The “F-it eat all the things” mentality: Been there. Done that. SO. MANY. TIMES. I recently had a run in with a pint of ice cream and 3/4 of a brick oven pizza that I’m not proud of. I’ve had the most success jumpstarting my workout and logging habits by setting a “just for today” intention. Everyday, I text a close friend…
  • I’m 2 months from 30... part of me wishes I didn’t qualify. Haha Since we’re talking football, I’m a Chicago Bears fan...Hometown pride and all that :)
  • I’m following suit :) feel free to add me if you think we’d be good fitness friends. - 29, married, live in Virginia - HW: 250 lb, CW: 199 lb, GW: ~170 lb & a re-evaluation from there - Biggest Strengths: varying my exercise plans, drinking tons o’ water. My diary is also open, and while rarely perfect, it’s honest. -…
  • I used to make peanut butter & bacon sandwiches for this very reason. Delicious doesn't even begin to describe what that sandwich did for my tastebuds.
  • I know the feeling all too well. I needed my lightbulb moment too before I could start to make changes. A few pieces of (unsolicited) advice as you get started: 1. Strive for progress over perfection. It's impossible to be perfect on the journey. You're going to have days where you eat more than you planned or days when…
  • The others raise good points about nutrition and if the cookies are "worth it." That part I can't help you decide. Butttt, from a pure taste position, The lemon cookie is my favorite... nom nom nom.
  • The iron bowl was rough to watch. That's why I needed the Christmas tree up to ease the pain. Did you see there's a Bears stocking next to the auburn one? We're gluttons for punishment in this family.
  • Oh Christmas tree! Oh Christmas tree! Everything seems so much better by Christmas tree light :)
  • Can you pace/walk around your home while you translate? Keep a small cup of water on your desk so you have to make frequent trips to the kitchen to refill? Take the stairs (if you have them) twice every time you go to the bathroom? Leave a yoga mat out near your desk and do a few poses or exercises anytime you're in…
  • I've got basically the same story (substitute pizza for ice cream, chips, chocolate...) and started back two days ago. Add me if you'd like :)
  • Another PCOS lady here. I lost close to 70 lbs on MFP my first go round and gained back 25ish over the last year. I'm back in the swing of things as of about 9 days ago. I also just started a low dose of Metformin (extended release) this week. So far I haven't had many of the GI difficulties that others seems to…
  • I'm in the exact same boat! I lost 60 lbs with MFP and then fell off track. I've recently gained back almost 15 of that weight. However, I'm back with renewed energy to do well and I desperately need fresh faces to encourage me and for me to encourage them :) I'll add you!
  • Hey when I started I weighed almost 250, now I'm at right around 190 (I'm 5'5). Feel free to add me, I've got another 30 plus pounds to get rid of and I'd love to encourage you along the way :)
  • Hey :) I'm back to logging daily (I took a bit of a rest from MFP) and would love to support you in your goals! One day at a time, you'll get there! Feel free to add me :)
  • Hey! we have almost identical stats and goal weight... I understand your pain :) FR sent!
  • mmm! you definitely know the way to my heart :) BUMP for later!
  • I've been there! It can be really difficult and frustrating to make a lot of changes all at once and that can wear down your commitment. Try changing a few small things at a time...like limiting how much you eat out per week or substituting water for other sugary drinks. Once you get the hang of those things and they…
  • Stick with it! You can definitely do it...one day at a time...one pound at a time. I'm sending you a friend request now. you'll need some people who will encourage you along the way :)
  • I'm working on my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology! 1 year down.... (seemingly) a million more to go :)

  • Yay! Day 5! I just finished them and today was surprisingly the hardest. My knees began to hurt around minute 3. Maybe I need to get better about my stretching and warming up prior to my JJs :) Until tomorrow!
  • Day 4... done and done! A huge thank you goes out to the person who suggested creating a playlist to listen to during the challenge. I had so much fun picking the perfect 3-song playlist to jam to. I'm kind of looking forward to tomorrow... not the jumping jacks, but the playlist  Until tomorrow friends!
  • It's getting easier! I made my friend do it with me after dinner and she loved it. My calves are sore too, so I'm elevating and icing them tonight. Hopefully it helps :)
  • It's always so tricky anytime you have to break away from your normal routine. I would say pack healthy snacks to take with you (nuts, granola, fruit that travels well, etc) so that between meals you aren't tempted to snack on bad things. Also, take a refillable water bottle with you. This way, you can combat some of the…
  • This is definitely a quick post because today is extraordinarily busy! Tasha- I totally understand about school being so busy. I have work up to my ears this week. It's like all of my professors got together and plotted to make this the week from........ Hang in there girlie! It's almost Thanksgiving :) Annasgyal- We have…
  • Good Morning :) The weekends just seem to fly by... ugh. Weigh in: 211.4!!! (down 1.8 lbs :). My TOM came, so I'm surprised it's a loss at all, but I'll take it :) Hailie- I'm working on my doctorate in clinical psychology. I'm only in my first year, so I have a million more to go (well 5). What are you studying? I'm…
  • Almost Friday and I couldn't be more elated :) Jessi- The Turkey Freezer Competition sounds like a blast..... kind of like marbles in a jar with higher stakes! love it :) And I'm sorry about the convo you had at work. It can be super exhausting when someone can't understand why another person would have a different…
