  • I was a military wife, moved 16 hours away at just 17 years old, etc. I went through weight gains and losses with my husband. I know that one issue he had was that he felt like I lost and was looking great when he was deployed, but then when he came back I would gain it back. This was true and for a number of reasons....we…
  • Also...I'm not a runner, but when I had customers that were "real" runners and did miles after miles a week....several of them seemed to swear by Asics.
  • I was a finish line manager for a few years. I agree with other members in that unless absolutely necessary don't buy them online. However, if that is a must then it depends on the brand. Asics, and Adidas run similar and true to size as other shoes. New Balance run bigger. Nike runs soooo small so you will definitely need…
  • You look great and yes, you can tell a difference! 1lb down is better than 1lb up so 16 down is a big accomplishment!
  • Ha...so collectively I think we can agree on this...men you can't live without em, and you can't lose weight with em....LOL! Just stay on track and if it helps tell him not to tell you about his effortless weight loss because it just discourages you and makes you want to eat the same stuff he is which may not be great.
  • Ha...well first you can't go by your bf and his weight loss or maintenance. My husband has lost about 20 or more lbs by virtually changing not a thing in his diet, only lifting for about 30 minutes 4 times a week and I'm nearly stressing myself to death to lose the same. Guys are different and you might as well punch him…
  • When I started though MFP told me my cals per day should be 1200. So if I never go lower like some users have suggested then how am I going to keep losing weight. I have lost 21 so far and I plan to go down to 1100 when I get to 25lbs lost. Then I plan to finish at 1000 at another 20lbs and remain at that calorie intake…
  • I also have tried everything for years. The scary part is that losing it is easy, maintaining is the hard part. I've lost 20-30lbs on WW two times in my life only to gain it back plus some. I say start small....I hate working out, but you have to find time. I walk 30-50 minutes a day. I think being outside and having…
  • I usually take Saturday every week to eat ANYTHING I want. This helps curb cravings, which helps me stay on track. It may take 1-2 days to lose whatever one or two pounds you gained today, but one day doesn't undo any progress. I used to do weigh watchers and their motto is "no guilt, tomorrow is a new day". Good luck!

  • I say there can never be too much fruit. I'm not a trainer or nutritionist, but I think you'd be hard pressed to find one that would discourage fruit. As for your earlier post, my current wait is 205, but I started at 224 and yes, because I'm bigger I've had several weeks that I lost 3lbs in a week.
