  • Definitely Doritos. I absolutely do not allow them in my house anymore. When I am in the store every so often I will see them and start craving, but I try very hard to keep walking and not put them in my cart! I tried the Baked Doritos, but even though they are slightly better I can still manage to finish an entire bag in…
  • You do need weights. I have 3, 5 and 8 pound dumbbells because she mixes it up constantly telling you heavy weight, medium weight, light weight, etc. When you first start you may not be able to use the 8 pounder at first, but you will definitely be able to move up to that pretty quickly. I am on the second week of Phase 2…
  • The best way to get an accurate measure of the calories burned is to either use a heart rate monitor, or if your budget allows, an arm band such as Body Media Fit or Body Bugg. I have a Body Media Fit and absolutely love it. But, that being said, before I had the arm band, I would log it on MFP as Circuit Training -…
  • You look amazing! You should be so proud of how far you have come...you are definitely an inspiration! Keep up the great work! :flowerforyou:
  • You look great! Keep up the fantastic work! :flowerforyou:
  • Definitely Jillian Michael's Body Revolution. I just started Phase 2 and I am loving it. It is shredding away my stubborn fat and it working miracles. It is a 90 day program and it only requires hand weights and a mat. The program comes with the resistance bands that she uses. Good luck!
  • Great NSV!!! Keep up the good work!!! :flowerforyou:
  • I prefer to wake up in the morning and workout before work. It gives me so much energy for the rest of my day, I know that it's out of the way the entire day, and I don't have a million reasons to talk myself out of it at the end of the day, which is what would usually happen. When I wake up in the morning, which is early…
  • LOVE my Body Media armband! It depends on the workout but anywhere from 200-300 calories for a 30-ish minute work-out. I have a much bigger calorie burn from the cardio sessions, because you are essentially doing hard-core cardio for 30 minutes with no resting. When I do her cardio, I always register A LOT of minutes of…
  • I have the measurements at home, so I will try to remember as best I can: the biggest victory for me is losing 4 inches off my lower abs, which everyone told me was going to be next to impossible after having a C-section 2 years ago. (I am enjoying proving them wrong!!!) I have lost 3 inches around my belly button, 1.5…
  • Thanks everyone for your kind words! I am looking forward to the next set of "during" pictures when i reach the 60 day mark! I haven't been doing her meal plan, just doing my own with the guidelines and help of MFP. I am a bit of a food brat, and the majority of the stuff she had on the plan would not be something that I…
  • Thanks guys! NSV = Non Scale Victory :flowerforyou:
  • I agree with you! Eating back my exercise calories and eating more has really helped me. Thanks for posting!
  • I weigh in every Friday morning. I log my weight only once per week, even if I cheat and step on the scale earlier in the week. It keeps me accountable and I try to only weigh in once a week so that I don't get discouraged when my weight fluctuates.
  • Thanks! Fun wouldn't exactly be the word I would use...there are some points that are more fun than others, but it is a kick butt workout and Jillian doesn't mess around. From the very first day you're doing stuff that you never thought you could do. I would definitely recommend for anyone new to Jillian to start out with…
  • Thank you all for your kind comments...I really hope I helped inspire some people today! I can't wait to see what the pictures will look like when I am done with 60 days and then again when I am finished the last week in May...just in time for summer!!! I plan on posting more pics at the end of Phase 2 and then again when…

  • Thumbs down on their article definitely. I stopped subscribing to them after being a reader for years because some of their content was getting a little ridiculous and too much about the bad advertisements. They are supposed to be supporting healthier lifestyles and now they are supporting weight loss supplements? Shame on…
  • You look amazing! Such an inspiration...thanks for posting this today! You definitely inspired me to keep going! And Happy Birthday!!! :drinker:
  • You look awesome! Good work! I am currently doing the 90 days of Jillian Michael's Body Revolution (on week 4 now). I have Turbo Fire at home and that is my next goal. If Jillian doesn't completely kill me over the next 2 months to reach that 90 days, then I am going to do 90 days of Turbo Fire. I hope I get great results…
  • This is so true and it works! When I first started MFP I rarely ate back my exercise calories, but then I hit a major plateau that lasted about a month. I decided to switch things up and start eating back ALL my exercise calories and the weight finally started coming off again! I was finally able to reach a huge goal of…
  • If I had to pick just one, it would DEFINITELY be my food scale. I weigh/measure everything. Second to that would be my measuring cups/spoons when the food scale just won't work to measure something. Portion sizes are so important!
  • ^^ This - MFP and cardio machines typically give higher calorie burns that what you have actually burned. If you wear a HRM or a Body Bugg, you will have a better picture of where your burn is, so it won't be so stressful to eat back some (if not all) your exercise calories. I never used to eat them back, but a few months…
  • Woo hoo! Congrats! ONEderland is a great feeling...and you are almost there! You'll be there in no time at all. Keep up the FANTASTIC work! :flowerforyou:
  • LOVE hummus! The best brand that I have tried (and I have tried several) is Sabra. No other hummus compares and they have so many tasty varieties. So yummy!
  • Everyone has days like that. Just go with the 80/20 principle. As long as you eat healthfully and exercise 80 percent of the time, don't beat yourself up over the 20 percent where you indulged a little bit. This is a lifestyle change, which means you are allowed to have treats every now and then without completely blowing…
  • It's definitely tough in the beginning, but just do the modifications of the moves that she gives you. After the first week you will notice a big improvement in your strength and stamina. Just don't give up and you will start noticing changes. Even if it takes you 60 days to get through it, at least you will have completed…
