Great work, OP! And I love your username!!! XD

Way to go! That's fantastic!!

I used to do it regularly and just picked it back up this week! I'm using a streaming subscription to Beachbody on Demand. It has tons of videos with a lot of different trainers and focus areas - enough that if I'm tired of one program I can mix it up a bit and still find something interesting.

Great job - what an amazing transformation! I wasn't feeling up to my workout today and came to the boards looking for inspiration... I definitely found it! Thanks so much for sharing! <3<3<3

I'm back again too! *high five*

Thanks, everyone! I usually listen to a mix while running, but I may try to go without one day to see how that feels :) I've started Couch to 5K to ramp up into a few-times-per-week routine, and I'm interested in adding some strength training as well. Consistency is my biggest struggle right now, but I know it's so…

I just found this while searching for others' results as I'm thinking about starting P90X myself, and you kick serious butt! Definitely inspiring me to go for it! :D

I use the Zombies, Run! app for the treadmill or running outside, and that keeps me occupied between the storyline and my music. I usually do bodyweight exercises for strength, and generally focus on my form. (With sporadic thoughts of, "Hey! Look at those shoulder/leg/etc muscles coming along!"). :)
-
Congrats! I just got the Starting Strength book, and I'm learning as much as I'm able before I can work up the courage like you have! :)

I work out from 6am-7am before work every day. MWF is for circuits of various bodyweight-type exercises (sometimes with additional dumbbells and medicine balls), and TH is for cardio on the treadmill with my Zombies, Run! app. :) I feel more relaxed at work because I stretch out after exercise, and it definitely helps rev…

I work out in the mornings from around 6am-7am, before I go to work. For me, that means waking up at 5:15am - not as early as some, but still way early for me! The biggest changes to make it work for me were...* Packing everything the night before! I shower and get ready for work at the gym and head straight to the office…

I really love the app, it makes running much more fun for me! But you don't have to run to use it, you can walk and move along in the story and achievements just the same. Use the settings to turn off the "zombie chase" option, and you're good to go!

Definitely the jerky, dried fruits (especially apricots), and nuts! I also try to make primal bars regularly for a great snack that will hold me over until I can eat a real meal. This is the recipe I use: http://www.marksdailyapple.com/primal-energy-bar-redux/

I find nothing inherently destructive about open relationships of any sort. Not everyone can or wants to do it, and that's fine - different strokes for/by different folks. (haha! ) I highly recommend reading Opening Up by Tristan Taormino! She has tons of great information on all kinds of open relationships and…

They give you such huge sandwiches, it's so easy to overindulge! I sometimes get Jimmy John's sandwiches delivered to work, and I immediately wrap up half and put it in the refrigerator. I'm totally satisfied after my half-sandwich (which is usually the size of a normal sandwich I'd make at home, since it's so big!), and…

Way to go! You've been working really hard and it's paying off!! :D

I've been doing quite a bit of research on the generation, and it seems sadly true across the board. (My job includes managing mostly 18-22 year old college students.) It's a result of the Everyone Gets A Trophy model of (non)achievement and helicopter parenting that was so prevalent for them when they were growing up. The…

I'm training for the AthHalf in October, and I'm also part of the Half Marathon Training Group group. Hi, friend! :D
-
It's fantastic stress-relief to have a good run and stretch after work, and I love that I can run pretty much anywhere as long as I bring my shoes! Today is 4 miles, and I'm training for a half marathon in October. Runrunrun! :D
-
I've just started doing two workouts a day and although I haven't seen the results yet, I feel it when I exercise! I have a four-day-a-week running plan to get ready for a half marathon in October, and I wanted to get something besides cardio in so I tried circuits on my off-days. Bad decision! I didn't get a chance to…

Definitely, communication is key. And there's no reason to cook two meals - I cook mostly vegetarian and my boyfriend is a carnivore, but he never has a problem eating my cooking. If he wants to eat with you, he should understand it'll be vegetarian and he can eat elsewhere if he wants something different, or he can make…

Dayum! Nice work!!!

That result on its own is totally worth it! Great job!!
-
That's awesome, way to go! I'm training for a half marathon in October and I hope I'll be able to say as much about improving my time, too!
-
That's fantastic, way to go!! :D
-
Great job! You earned it!! :D
-
Thank you for posting this! After several 5Ks and two 10Ks, I'm running my first half-marathon in October and I'm so excited to train for it!
-
I'd love to join a team! (with Nerdybookgirl if that's an option) After downloading the "Zombies, Run!" app for iPhone, I feel woefully unprepared for the zombie apocalypse!!

I found something that helps when I start running out of steam on a long run: "When I get tired, I stop being tired and start being AWESOME. True story." As soon as I tell myself that I crack up and feel a lot better! :D
