That does sound too low. Maybe because you put your goal too high? i.e. lose 2 lbs per week instead of 1 lb.

While I understand that it's definitely possible to lose weight without exercise, you need to remember that moderate exercise has value outside of weight loss. It's important for your heart, bones, etc. - espeically as we age. So I certainly wouldn't think it would be wise to have NO exercise...

Welcome! I'm fairly new as well - feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like. I did the C25K program about 2.5 years ago and after a year I was able to complete a half marathon! (even if it did take a really really long time!) Now I'm trying to build back up to that level again.
