i've been doing bjj for a year now and when i enter it on MFP i usually enter the sparring time and then drilling time i just add about 1 minute for every 5 depending on how fast paced the drilling is. if it's high intensity drilling like agility latters, i just go with the full time.

if your rolling or doing really high intensity, high speed drills, then i'd say that is probably close to accurate because you are using your whole body when doing bjj. i usually average my drilling to about 1 minute for every 5 depending on various factors, and then just put in my sparring time.

i do it 3 times a week. it's a fantastic workout and if you can learn a little bit of wrestling, a great self defense tool. there are a few guys at the gym i'm training at that are well over 250 lbs but they still do it and a lot of them have committed themselves to not relying on their weight to win when rolling.
