  • I really enjoy Parks and Rec, but have to say TBBT is the greatest!!!
  • what a great story. I especially related to the part where you felt bad when your husband brought you a treat and you couldn't enjoy it...you really did look nice in the early pictures, but yes, you are smashing in the later ones!! Keep up the great attitude, that is what will pay off in the end.
  • My husbie and I also just started watching it about 6 weeks ago...I for some reason was turned off by it in the early years...can't figure that out, cuz we both LOVE it!! We also love HIMYM...that show was also almost missed as one of our favs....it is sort fun to catch on to a show after it's been on a few years, cuz you…
  • I agree with all the above posters. Some very well thought out responses!! I also recommend crate training, have done it with my Golden Retrievers and have also found that they find the crate reassuring. The bathroom is too much room for a puppy. And I also agree dogs need lots of time and attention. They are pack animals…
  • yes, please post your squash soup. I've recently just been introduced to squash (I'm 55!!) and really like it.
  • Great job!! Looks like you were having fun with the new clothes!! How long did it take to remove the 52?
  • super job!! Now you need to post pics!!
  • fresh pineapple is the best.
  • It is harder to maintain. When you are losing, you have a goal and look forward to reaching it. You have a reward for continueing toward that goal..seeing your effort play out on the scale. There appears to be an end in sight to this process. Now with maintaining there isn't the positive feedback you might have enjoyed…
  • do we get 5 pounds for ea child??? how much for each grandchild??
  • radishes-crunchie and salty
  • Depends on what you mean by 'feeling ill'. If you are running a fever, don't work out, take care of yourself. It is not good to tire/deplete your body's infection fighting ablitiy. If you have a cold or just feel out of sorts then tone down the workout, but still get some exercise. I agree with the previous posters that…
  • Happy Anniversary, and congratulations on the 50+ so far. It is good you aren't becoming defeated by the slower progress. Progress is still progress. There is a saying something like : 'steady as she goes'...Your encouraging words are helpful to all of us in this life-diet rearranging process. This post reminds me of when…
  • I think it was perfectly acceptable to ask what was on the menu...was it suppose to be a surprise??? The reaction of the menu-planner was overboard and unacceptable, but she did try to 'make nice' later. Perhaps she knew she was in the wrong, to 'blow her off' was not the best approach. If you wanted to feel better about…
  • I usually try to limit my lunches to 300 cals. I have about 300cals of something very healthy for breakfast such as oatmeal, or egg beaters with ww toast/pb..somthing like that. If you aren't eating a healthy fiber/protein filled breakfast it may make you over hungry for lunch. Be careful of eating too many carbs for lunch…
  • I agree with you!! The best plan has both cardio and strength training. Alternating them seems to be what I've heard. I am not an athletic trainer, but as a nurse I believe cardio is important-for your heart and overall health. Have you ever been to Jazzercise? It is a great blend of both and to great music.
  • I went to Perkins for father's day with DH and father. I got the Potato pancakes (5) thinking 'better than regular pancakes'...came home looked up the total (from the Perkins website) and was SHOCKED that the meal (3bacon, applesauce and 5 med potato pancakes) was 1100 calories!!!!!!!!!!!! I had vegetables the rest of the…
  • don't you have neighbors, friends, family?? Everybody I know loves fresh produce...!!
  • I totally agree with all the above postings. Also, if not mentioned above maybe people don't want to give any pressure/guilt what-ever if you end up gaining any weight back. I'm glad this was brought up because I myself have lost 16 pounds (previously I lost 40, and gained it back) I was really embarrased myself to be back…
