I try and schedule them early in the morning before anyone else has to get up. I find that if I don't I always try and find an excuse not to do them and when you are trying to get healthy making your workout time unnegotiable is a must!

My first 5K was Thanksgiving of 2011 and I remember the adrenaline of the crowd sure helped keep you going! I ended up walking for about a minute close to the end...but when I made it there I cried a little, 10 months before that I would have never thought I would even be running so it was a big deal for me!

I don't remember what my numbers were, but I know when I did it I lost inches and a couple of pounds! If you think you are going to burn out easily I would suggest that you take at least 1 day a week off! Good Luck!

So sorry to hear about the passing of your loving Jake...to most of us, loosing an animal is like loosing a member of our family! May you have peace knowing he is at peace and is now your guardian angel!

I was being hugged by one of my kids and they said "mom, when I hug you I can get my arms all around you and touch my hands!!!" Mind you this was coming from my 8 year old daughter, so for me that was saying alot!

This is why I love MFP...encouragement, support and knowing that I am not the only one who has to get back on! Thanks everyone!

You look awesome, Congratulations!

For me prob. about a month plus...I think it all depends on how much you have to loose as a whole. I lost much faster when I first started my journey, but now these last 12lbs. don't want to go anywhere:wink:

Sorry to hear about your friend....may she live on in your memories!
