I used to eat large amounts of hummus because I never paid attention to calories or what was or was not healthy for you. Now, I use hummus as a dip for my veggies for the day - 2 tablespoons is enough to dip them in. It's a compromise :-) Coffee is another thing I have cut back not - not so much the coffee but the flavored…

Good for you! You should be so proud of yourself. It is hard to make a healthy choice when people look at you like you are nuts. I believe it's because they are simply not aware and it's almost likely that they have to stop and think about what they are consuming which can be scary. For example this past holiday weekend I…

I don't know how to add pictures on here yet but one particular photo that was a wakeup call for me as well. It is a picture of me and one of my good friends that she posted on FB. I entered a comment under it that said “I guess that 5,000 calorie diet isn’t working for me” added by a “lol” but inside I was embarrassed and…

I think this is a terrific suggestion! ! ! My heart goes out to you because making a healthy choice sometimes takes all the will power we have and to have someone working against you makes it all the much harder to do. But your willingness to succeed tells me one thing....YOU ARE A STRONG WOMAN. If it is any consolation -…

Why I Want To Get In Shape Simply because I want to do something for myself that I feel good about. As my son gets older and more independent it allows me more free time to stop and realize what I want and need for me. Wish I had found this inspiring site a few years ago because a healthier me equals a better mom,…

Same boat here! 2days this weekend. Dinner: What I did to prep was made foil packets. 1rst idea: boneless skinless chicken with 1/2 cup onions, 1/2 peppers, crushed tomatoes (1can), (approx 2tbl spoons) black olives and (approx 2tbl spoons) green olives, in a separate foil pack is fresh corn cut from the cob - cooking…

Great advice... I am going to start planning my meals and with this program it makes it easier to see what adjustments to make ahead of time. Working during lunch 2-3 times a week is totally doable. “Netflix” I am already a subscriber and didn’t even think off this! “Make your workouts like an "appointment"” this is great…
