It's Greek Easter today. There is a traditional soup that the Greeks make with lamb offal, intestines/innards. Sounds gross but tastes great. Christos Anesti.

Funnily enough I find the fourth male and the fourth female to be the 'ideal'. But I that could be because rank 2 lower (or is that 2 higher lol.)

Yo Bro. Add me. I have women, men, older and younger folk on my list. I don't discriminate. But I have to admit, this is one funny thread dude.

Unfortunately divorces are rife particularly in western society. And I suspect some marriages break down due in part to a lack of attraction as a result of one or both partners becoming apathetic in the looks department. On a personal level I found that it was "selfish" of me to become fat and unattractive to my wife.…

I had a health scare a few years ago in my early 40s. That didn't do it. Nor did realising how fragile life was. Strangely the aha moment really came one day in a local deli. I went there to buy a bottle of milk (or something similar) and then I spotted it: an overpriced, exotic tiramisu which had enough calories to…

Sweating doesn't help you lose weight. It's the effort behind it that does! Just saying. (:

At age 20 I lost a great deal of weight and would have agreed with the heading of this thread. Fast forward a few years - er - decades and I (cough) forgot how to do that. I am now 46 years old! I think I finally am getting the hang of it again (age related metabolism slowing notwithstanding). What I have I re-learned?…

I'm no expert. And you know my views as I'm an Mfp pal of yours. But IMHO and as some others have said certainly eat more. But don't quit strength training. Strength should enhance weight gain if properly done with muscle (:

IMHO there is nothing wrong with zigzagging calories (i.e having one day where you are say 200 calories over target balanced by another day where you are under 200). I look at the average for the week. As for calories expended doing strength you can actually get an estimate from mfp for strength under cardio! Personally I…

I did the same thing. The Polar FT80 is awesome in calculating calories expended in strength sessions too. The fitbit is great in measuring incidental activity. If I was forced to choose between a HRM and fitbit I would go fitbit if I was sedentary and didn't exercise a lot - as walking is an awesome form of incidental…

There is not enough information to properly answer your question imho. However generally speaking, if you did some serious heavy weight training, then you should probably take a day off if not more. Muscles grow (or tone) best when they are recovering and your muscles take time doing this. However if weight training…

Roz. Some good advice in the other posts. But also think of it this way: you have made the most important step already. The realisation. The aha moment. You have decided to change. That's the best thing you could have done for yourself. Think of all the people who simply accept their situation and give up. Not you. You…

Man thats awesome. You seriously looked like you were in your mid to late 30s in the first photo. By the time you get to the last one you look like a 20 year old. Talk about rolling back the years! PS Credit where credit is due - you did have decent chest definition even in your fat days. Impressive.

I try to be as accurate as possible. Especially now that I have my fitbit. I actually take joy in logging the good, the bad and the ugly as it really is interesting seeing the correlation between eating right and results (even if they sometimes feel disconnected a little!)

Walking is NOT a waste of time especially if the option is doing nothing. But I also think walking is essential at times for all of us too. When I'm tired I walk. When I'm lazy I walk. When I want to unwind I walk. When I want to think I walk. Walking has lots of benefits beyond weight loss and fitness. I also agree in the…

Well done. Inspirational.

I guess the point the study is making is a technical one: 8 glasses of water is not the magic number, there are other sources of water such as hot beverages, fruit etc. That is great but water has zero calories, is good for you and if drinking more water means eating less food = one of your goals then isn't that the point…

I'm In Australia and not sure if this helps in the UK. But what I do is go to Kmart and pick up a huge 10 pack of air popped popcorn for very little money. Each pack is less than 100 cals and quite satisfying. The other packs are for another day or for friends. Low calorie, low cost and ability to share individual packs -…

Ok if he owns everything what about an experience? A short holiday away? An exotic car drive day

I've been on Mfp for longer than a year and while I too have seen some success am inspired by your even greater achievement. Congratulations!

They are pricey but not prohibitively so. They range from around $60 to $120 but I guess it also depends on the country. I'm in Australia and paid $130Aus for my Fitbit One which is a better model. Totally worth it but beware - budget for a few of them as they are easy to lose!

I'm a new fitbit owner too, it's awesome. Feel free to send me an invite (10kaday already a long time Mfp pal - and I concur with his post)

Thanks for that tip, will try that

I also.failed to add that I have the fitbit one that counts stairs so a vigorous walk uphill give me some credit towards stair count too
