I just wanted to note that I have definitely gained a little muscle, but I understand what you mean. I have probably only gained muscle mass because I was new to exercising anyway. Now it's time to make big changes with my diet and probably consider bulking or something.
-
I haven't really considered bulking because I don't really know a lot about it. If you have more information and feel like telling me about it, I'd love to learn more. I'll also read up online :)

Thank you everyone :)

Smart! Thanks :)

I can do squats, not lunges unless the back leg stays straight, but then they're not really even lunges. Thank you. I'll check it out :) What is NMTZ?

There are quite a few different types of MD, and with mine, CMT, one doesn't always end up in a wheelchair. A lot of the people I know with CMT that are in a wheelchair are overweight, so I think that weight is a huge factor in staying out of a chair. My grandpa, mother, sister, and I all have it and are all at healthy…

Also, in men, just look up "Ryan Bader" GOOD GOD, YUM. But I'm not too picky. I like guys that are a little soft too, as long as they don't have moobs.

I don't think that it's shallow at all. Dating a fat person when you're in shape may be difficult simply because they may have a different lifestyle, one that is sedentary and involves easy mac and hamburger helper for dinner, you know? If you date someone who's fit, maybe someone you meet at the gym, you already know that…

My therapist has been working with me with CBT. It has helped a lot. The pills were just an idea, which obviously didn't work out for me!

I actually saw my doctor yesterday. She's the one that helped me to wean off Celexa. I had a hard time getting a hold of her to quit taking Busbar, but I told her yesterday at my appointment and she said it was fine to stop because I was only on it for a couple of weeks.
-
Haha that's kinda what I thought. While I agree that drugs may have detrimental effects, it's never okay to advise someone to stop taking meds unless you are a doctor.

It definitely is. I have anxiety and body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) and I know that neither is anything like depression. I feel sad about how I look and will cry about it, but that's simply BDD, not depression. I can't imagine what depression is like. I don't think it was right for that doctor to put me on an SSRI,…

Only three months? Good for you! I'll start trying harder. I eat so healthily like 90% of the time and I work out often. I'm doing a 30 day workout challenge where I make sure that I workout every day (30 mins of cardio most days, strength training 3-4 days, yoga on days when I just can't take the workouts anymore), so…
-
Hey, yeah.. read about depression and other such disorders. They inhibit your body's ability to reabsorb serotonin (or something to that effect). SSRIs help the body to do so. Some people do benefit from these drugs. I, unfortunately, do not. I have already quit taking medications and only tried for about 6 months (Prozac,…

You may want to google "wellbutrin and meningioma". My mother was on Wellbutrin for awhile and it caused weight gain and may have been a causal factor in her benign brain tumor. Scary stuff.

I'm not sure if this was directed to me, but I actually never experienced these. The only thing that happened to me was intense moodiness when I quit taking them. However, I quit taking Busbar and lost all ability to function. It was also finals week. Needless to say, I failed a final. Luckily my good grades earlier in the…

Did you lose weight when you quit taking them? I've read that Celexa is known for causing weight gain, up to 60 pounds in a year (!) and then I read that it's less likely than other SSRIs to cause weight gain. I scheduled an appointment with my doctor for next Wednesday. Hopefully they can put me on something that's known…

Thank you :) I've been hearing that weight lifting is the way to go. I think it's time to get a personal trainer for a couple weeks.

And I also have a little patch of acne right on the side of my lip. Just ugly little whiteheads and I think there's like 5 of them. Is that a sign of hormonal acne? Before the cystic acne started, I had bumps on my forehead. Just flesh colored tiny bumps all over and for the longest time. I wonder if the breakout was just…
-
That's all really interesting. Maybe the breakout is just over because summer's mostly over and it's just a coincidence that it's calming down after I quit using stevia. I just found it odd that it got SO bad right after I started using stevia. It was very mild on my chin and I only had a couple cystic ones on my chin. I…

I haven't switched back to honey, I'm just not using any sweetener at all. Maybe it worked for keeping my skin clear to begin with. I know that there's nothing else in my diet that's causing acne like this. When I was 15 I was, what I like to call, a junk food vegan. I lived off of ramen, chips, soda, crap, garbage, etc.…

AMEN!

Wow, 32 pounds?! That's amazing. I just figure, if it works for you and it's healthy, stick with it! That sounds like a great day to me. I'd love to go on a long, lovely hike right now.

This is EXACTLY what my definition of moderation is! I will, on occasion, have a drink from starbucks or some jasmine rice (as opposed to my regular brown rice) and I think that that kind of moderation is perfectly fine.

It's my actual hip, like the hip flexor. I didn't know which area the hip flexor was until just now otherwise I would have posted it at the beginning =P
-
Use it in place of rice :) I LOVE quinoa. Make sure that, if you ever but it in bulk, you rinse it first. It'll have a bitter flavor if not. Try googling some recipes to feel extra inspired. I'll use it in burritos with beans and salsa or just mixed up with some frozen veggies with some seasoning. So good! :)

MY GOD, I know. I added a 40 year old who's GORGEOUS. I mean, flawless. It really shows what taking care of yourself can do for you in the long run.

Let me know how you like it when you try it! <3
