Google "44 best body weight exercises" and watch the youtube video. Now that guy is fit!!! You don't need to add weight as you get stonger and lighter. To up the intensity, just do more reps, as many as you can. What I like about body weight exercises is that it can help keep your nutrition in check. You know that whatever…

Yep. I try to workout at home (P90X) early before everyone is up. When I get home from work, that's play time for me and my little girl.

I've done three rounds of X2 and I loved it, but it's not for everyone. Workouts are only as challenging as you make them. If you hate it that much, quit now and move on to something you do like.

Ideally, any physical fitness program should include the four fundementals of fitness: Muscular Strength Muscular Endurance Cardiovascular fitness Mobility & Flexablity Health and fitness (which will lead to a healthy weight) cannot be defined by only one of these. Find a program that adresses all four and, with a healthy…

Chocolate Shakeology. 170 cals - 16g protein - 22g carbs - 5g fiber - 9g sugar (natural, not splenda or stevia like Visalus) and plently of all natural ingredients.

[/quote]I am totally agree with you and wants to appreciate you for this kindness. I think that supplements are not really good for human health. At this time it's effect on body but with the passage of time it's show his side effects. And that was not really good. So always avoid to eat supplements. Used natural foods.…

Yep. the yoga is the one workout in P90X that everyone loves to hate. I hated it too at first and I still cannot do a lot of what they can do on the video. You should not let that deter you. Can you do 25 pull-ups like the cast members? I can't. When I started I could barley do 5, and even they weren't pretty. Everyone has…

Yep!!!!! For anyone who does not believe that yoga is a "real workout", try P90X yoga!!!!

You can also use a chair to help take some of you body weight. Negatives can also help build strength. Use the chair to get all the way up and then take you feet off the chair and lower yourself as slowly as possible. Beachbody also sells what they call the "pull-up assist" Basically it is a band that you can put one of…

This is correct. X2 is based on "athletic performance", rather than just getting in shape for the beach, although you will look good. X2 got me in the best shape of my life. Every move is designed to work you core. To do the moves unmodified, you will need a lot of gear, 4 medicine balls and a stability ball. Something to…

Hi, I have done Insanity and P90X. Haven't done Turbofire. I like P90X as it is a well-rounded program with a mix of resistance training, cardio and yoga/stretching. All you need is a set of bands and a yoga mat. P90X is considered an extreme workout, so remember to only do what you can do. Power 90, the predecessor to…

Well done!!!! You could try P90X Plus, or P90X2. There is also a program called Body Beast. It was new last year and is a traditional weight training/muscle building program. Hybrids aren't a bad idea either. Good luck!! Joe

Saw this video a while back. Amazing! This guy is FIT and without using any weights other than body weight.
-
I agree also.

Ha! Have you ever tried P90X yoga? I never though yoga was a "real workout" either until I tried that!

I don't see anything "wrong" with your form. You will want to keep the weight in line with your shoulders. If the Y is too large, it could become unstable and hurt your elbow and shoulders areas. I like to put one foot slightly forward to ensure balance, tighten my core for added stability and stand up straight and not…

I prefer free weights over machines as well, especially dumbbells as they require you to activate stabilizer muscles more than bars. I do a lot of P90X and P90X2 workouts which is A LOT of body weight exercise like pushups and pull-ups. The good thing about body weight exercise is that you don’t need a bunch of equipment…

Right!!

Just me, but I like to take a "recovery" week every three or four weeks. That does not mean do nothing. Go for a run, walk, stretch, yoga something different but still active. I would put the weights down for a few days. Good luck!!

HI, I do the P90X programs and yoga is an intregal part of it. I never did it before three years ago. I am 45 and now, I very rarely ever get hurt and I feel great. Here are my answers to your questions: 1) How often to do Yoga and for how long? At least once a week, sometimes as much as three times a week if I am in a…

Warm up and light stretch before working out. Stretching after working out. Foam rolling And by far the BEST way to prevent inujury is doing YOGA on a regular basis. Every training program should include the four elements of fitness 1 Muscular strength 2 Muscular Endurance 3 Cardiovascular training 3 Flexibility/mobility…

Easy fix. Drink water. Stop drinking soda all together. It's terrible for you.

Shakeology by Team Beachbody may be an alternative. It's not cheap, but there is no dairy in it an it's full of great foods. I have more info on it if you would like to know more.

Joint pain, like a knee, is probably an injury. But like you said, its best to see a doc.

Missing one workout is not the end of the world and will not derail you fitness as long as it doesn't become a habit. I hate missing workouts too, but life happens. I would not double up.
-
Hi everyone. Congrats to all of you for doing this program. I never did Power 90, but I have done multiple rounds of P90X, P90X Plus and P90X2. I am also a Team Beachbody coach so feel free to send me a friend request or otherwise contact me if I can help out with anything. Best of luck to all of you and keep pushing…

Yeah, you need the rest. Your muscles will grow during the recovery time and you risk plateauing and injury by overtraining.
-
You don't need to lift heavy. You just need your workout to be intense. If you find that your dumbbells are too light and you don't have anything heavier, you can do synergistic moves which will REALLY burn fat. You can also minimize rest between moves to up the intensity. I've never done a workout where I was only…

I think you want something to isolate the core similar to what plank does. Try a different isometric exercise. There are many, like Boat. It is a yoga pose where you balance on your butt, lift your legs off the floor, keeping them straight and then extend your arms toward your feet. Google it and you can find some picks.…
